The Biden administration is set to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its plan to advance "racial equity."

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for "smoking kits/supplies." A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and "any illicit substance."

Buying votes with free crack pipes. Ensuring equal opportunity for illegal drug use. Can it get any more absurd than this?

 

You know this will probably save more money right? Fund safe ways to get drugs, and use drugs, and at the same time connect them with resources that can help them with addiction. Stigmatizing and criminalizing drug users hasn't worked for decades. Arguably the past 50 years taught us that criminalizing drug users does not work. But what does work and helps lower costs? Helping drug users safely access those drugs.

Reading between the lines, Democrats are essentially saying that black people are crack addicts without pipes, and white crack addicts are privileged to their ability to afford pipes.

Your assertion about saving money is based on your apparent belief that the Federal Government must perform roles that go way beyond their Constitutional scope. The way to save money is to limit the role of the Federal Government to functions established by the US Constitution. Where in the Constitution does it say the Government should pay for crack pipes? Perhaps liberals should set up a charity to buy crack pipes for crack users instead of wanting to spend taxpayer money to enable recreational drug use.

Always, liberals propose to save money by spending money. Yet somehow the US gets deeper in debt and still more spending.

I don’t care about your “ constitutional argument”. The feds can spend money on improving the general welfare of citizens. And yes it will save money. Because unsafe drug usage leads to things like STIs, infections and other social diseases. So give them safe pipes to use and at the same time you can connect them to resources to help get them off drugs.

I noticed today that the Biden Administration has decided to stop hospitals from counting Covid-19 cases. I guess Democrats want to fake more statistics.

These pipes will make it safer for people, but there's literally hundreds of things to spend money on.
