Hmmm I thought you were going to prove it was unconstitutional and instead you have nothing. I'm shocked.

    Shocked!

So your point is we can say whatever we want, via the first, but the government is allowed to retaliate? Huh. That’s not how it was splained to me in civics.

The whole point of the first is that the government can’t punish citizens for speaking our minds.

    And the FBI too.

OFFICIAL LAWLESSNESS: FBI Nearly Triples Unconstitutional Searches of Americans in 2021.

    TRIPLES.

    Dirtbag FBI
The grant of power We the People gave them was to be used against FOREIGN threats. This was back when we thought they were staffed with persons of the highest integrity, not a bunch of dirtbag crooks acting as the armed wing of the Democrat Party's interests, a position once held by the KKK when they were the terrorist arm of the DNC.

All those school board parents aren't going to spy on themselves, you know.

No that was not my point at all. My point was that you claimed the Chik-fil-a situation was unconstitutional, so I asked about the court case. I was curious as to how the courts determined the municipal action was unconstitutional (assuming they did). Since you made the claim, I don't see why you need to get snippy when I ask about the details of your claim.

Its ok. Don't worry about explaining your claims. Just thrown them on the wall and cross your fingers.

The case which I mentioned is as close to DeSantis using his office to restrict speech as you can get.

Supreme court: "A discriminatory denial of a tax exemption for engaging in speech is a limitation on free speech."

That's the precedent. Disney was targeted because of something they said, and the government moved against them by denying an existing tax exemption. Its a prime example of government officials using the authority of their office to take personal revenge against an individual, or private corporation, and its done because the corporation said something the government officials didn't like.

I'm not sure what sort of "gotcha," you are trying to squeeze out of me. I never claimed anything ever went to court. Corrupt criminals in office do not pay for any of their crimes against the constitution. Never. They go merrily on their way, breaking all sorts of laws. The citizenry of my country are perfectly fine with this. You are, when it benefits your team.

I hate all of it, and wish my fellow Americans cared, too.

I hope this clears it up for you. If not, I know of no other way to say that I am tired of the corruption the lubricates our American system.

And let's not forget the Obama administration used the IRS for political purposes to the extend the head of the IRS had to plead the 5th amendment rather than testify about her OFFICIAL actions as head of the department.

Well I've already told you my best guess on what will happen when this gets to court and you've told me yours. so I guess you can bookmark this and we'll check back in a couple of years.

Yes it clears it up. You were venting, not engaging in a serious discussion of the constitutional issues.

Yea, I remember reading that about 10 years ago. Going back to current events, if you post something on Twitter, or right here on PF, and someone reads it, are they then "searching", or "spying" on you? I mean, isn't posting on these forums done for the purpose of them being seen?

It is a problem, constitutionally. It is not legal for government to retaliate against citizens for exercising their right to speak. The fact that nobody ever challenges it, is irrelevant. Nobody tackles it, because, "hey, my team may want to retaliate against someone's speech one day, so you go right ahead."

Under a due process/equal treatment for a open tax exemption to all

    (c) It does not follow that because only a tax liability is here involved, the ordinary tax assessment procedures are adequate when applied to penalize speech. Pp. 357 U. S. 523-525.

Reedy Creek was a SPECIAL exemption.

Well that simply isn't true. American jurisprudence is littered with many many many free speech cases. So it's challenged all the time. But we're talking about a very narrow type of circumstance in which I profess ignorance in how the courts have addressed it. Since you claimed to have known beyond doubt that this situation was unconstitutional, I assumed you had more background on this than I did. That appears to not be the case but I'm sure it's been covered by the courts at some point.

TYRANTS ARE AS TYRANTS DO: Biden’s Ministry Of Truth, Cheered On By the Media, Will Attack First and Second Amendment Rights.

The Wall Street Journal recently opined that Jankowicz’s Disinformation Governance Board could soon brand any criticism of the Biden-Harris administration as a threat to national security.

And this Jankowicz, herself, asked who she would have to f--k to become rich and powerful.

Here's a thought, Mike. If the government can legally punish us for exercising our right to free speech, we don't really have freedom of speech, now, do we?

Gee I think you're getting the hang of this thread!

But that has nothing to do with your side tracked issue.

:toilet: ~ The D.C. toilet that has become Capitola Hill needs a good flush to start over. Sadly we likely would get another group of corrupt sell-outs ...:bleh:

This is just a way to avoid spending more money. After all, the expense of teaching people how to read and reason on their own would cost much more than just setting up a new government entity.

They are liars. They know they are backing into a wipeout, and they think that by controlling the narrative that they can rig the election.

Dempocalypse: Public’s view of the economy is worst in a decade, per new CNN poll.

"This CNN poll is so gory for Biden and his party that it should be rated NC-17:"
Inflation was inflamed by Biden/Dems blowout spending that kept workers home when it was time for them to return to work.

Neither Joe I or can explain a public that is too stupid to know that being in a position to actually pay down on the National Debt is a sign the ACTUAL economy is humming like a well oiled machine.... When the inflation and gas comes down, I'm sure the "public" will find something else to complain about, which is likely not a long term problem either...
