Speaking at a campaign event today in Detroit, Vice President Joe Biden said that he's known three presidents "intimately":

"But folks, I can tell you that I’ve known eight presidents, three of them intimately," said Biden.

Did he name the 3 presidents he knew 'intimately'?

The guy just doesn't know that's not the way guys talk about their male friends/associates...... unless.......

Poor Joe..... no, wait! His poor WIFE! Wonder how many times she shrunk in embarrassment when he opened his mouth in public.....

I can hardly wait for the VP debates. I bet Obumma will be sitting on pins & needles, chewing on his fingernails - but then he's the last person who should criticize someone else's stupid blunders

Start at the backrow.. The one on the left is squinting, thinking "wait a minute, am I really seeing this? Is he really?"

The guy in the middle: "hmmmm.. good execution.. Good pressure.. But I would have started with a hand position a bit further north

In all seriousness, Biden was the one who essentially forced Obama's hand into supporting same-sex marriage when he went on Meet the Press and said he was absolutely comfortable with men marrying men and women marrying women. So while I want to give Crazy Ol' Joe the benefit of the doubt and assume this was yet another senile moment for him, I'm also starting to wonder about the guy.

 

I definitely agree with you there; it's the expressions that make this picture so funny!

Someone really needs to talk to poor Joe about .... life. Obviously, there's a lot he doesn't know.........lol.

 

Intimatily in this context simply means they have a friendly, personal relationship. It's not necessarily sexual.

So finding this funny, or a blunder or whatever, really only works if you're like 12 years old.

Like when people say "come here" or "do it" and you find it funny.

Why don't you ask Jill Biden if she's OK with that. But hey maybe that's why Obama picked him for VP, he'd understand Obama's "relationship" with Larry Sinclair.

 

What people do in the privacy of their own home is not anyones business, pretty sure they are swingers since democrats are open-minded, when it comes to relations.

 

First of all, Happy, of all the men I've known, I've never once heard a guy talk about his friendship w/another dude as 'intimate'...... never. Usually when someone says they know someone 'intimately' - that usually implies 'up close and personal' but not always. Regular guys don't talk that way .... well, at least not where I live, but m/b where you do.

Speaking about having the mentality of a 12 yr old, I used the word 'hardly' - you pop up and said I used the word 'hard. I asked you to explain what you were talking about, but your didn't'...... enuf said.

I don't understand what you're talking about by saying "If someone said 'come here" or 'do it" - why would that be funny, regardless of how it's used?

 

The thing is, Happy Fun Dude is correct; we all know Joe really didn't sleep with a few presidents, as we also all realize that Joe simply chose an inappropriate word to use. And yeah, there is an element of juvenile humor to it, I'll grant you that.

But on the other hand, in a world where the unemployment numbers are way too high, the economy is still tanking, criminal acts are trending up and there may be war in the mid-east at any moment, surely we need to find our laughter somewhere. So thank God for Joe Biden, who never fails to provide us with some small amount of comedy relief in a darkening world by painting a target on himself almost every day.

And that's something we can all agree on, right?
