Except we were better off during Trumps 4 years then we are now.

    Thanks for playing.

You made a statement without any factual evidence to back it up save "the French did something..." then had a personal tirade against DeSantis, ending it off with the typical racist nonsense.

Come back when you devise an argument.

Tell me who is passing and requesting even more HUGE spending bills?

Try again after reading more slowly. Then address my direct rebuttal of what you just repeated

As I said it was the Dems who reneged and didn't pass the spending cuts they agreed to with Bush41, are you denying that? And Bush43 with the Rep Congress had a final deficit of a measly $161B before the Dems took back the Congress and began their huge spending increases and sent the deficit to $400B in 2008 and then $1,400B in 2009.

Why do you premise you arguments about the deficits solely on who was President, what folly.

You can always tell someone has nothing or merit to say when they think they first have to apply some false opinion to someone.

In the meantime it's not just Biden it's the policies.

It won't take a catastrophe we already have one with this administration across the entire spectrum. I would suggest you not dream about a Harris, Buttigieg, Harris, Sanders or any of the other failed leftwing candidates. And here's a hint, you don't win the Presidency by some national popular vote.

Yup, that turned a lot of Independent and Dem parents against Terry McAwful and his party, but his hilariously stupid self-inflicted wound was just the final straw. There were a whole host of issues that got Dems killed and Brandon's serial failures didn't help McAwful, either.

I also get the sense that the voters not just here in Virginia but all around the country have been in a surly mood since the WuFlu hit the fan and they're taking it out on both parties. Republicans got theirs in 2020 and now Dems are gonna get theirs this year. As far as 2024 is concerned, my money's on DeSantis even though I'll support Rand Paul if he runs. The thought of Brandon or The Hyena running in 2024 just makes me laugh...

Told you .. was Red who Requested even more HUGE spending bills.. as explained to you at least 10 times

First off .. you moved the goal post from the 12 years of Reagan and Daddy Bush.. to Baby Bush time period 8 years later what happened there .. we get thrust into a time warp ? brain not able to deal with the fact that Rotten Ronnie was a fiscal disaster .. and to be fair to Daddy Bush he wasn't given much to work with .. and did hold the line on the increase in deficits.. despite the economy sucking wind .. a function of the Reagan disaster.

Second - the 1.4 Trillion dollar deficit Bush handed Obama .. was on Bush's head .. spending was as he proposted in his February Budget.. resulting in 400 Billion of the deficit as estimated .. the Rest was due to the Bush Crash..

161 Billion is not "Measly" -- you are just so used to hearing Trillion dollar deficits you think its normal. Bush was handed a near balanced budget .. Bush immediately ran large deficits .. back up to 400 Billion .. but due to the economy.. increasing the revenue side - that deficit decreased .. not because of decreased spending...

Just wrong you are .. on every point. your question even wrong .. due to absurd ridiculousness .. "who passing bills" .. Lest ya got both houses .. takes both sides to pass a bill .. were you not aware ? and in the case where the you have the white house .. nothing the other side can do to pass bills .. even if they have both houses.

and just in case you forgot - and in desperation default to Ad Hom fallacy - which you have not done so far . kudo's for that -- but even if you are thinking of thinking it .. doing it mentally .. desperate to come up with some way to avoid the bad news .. Always Remember .. my arguments against Blue are way better than yours.. The harshest critic of the Biden Obama clown show ... "Not in my Back Yard - Dump it in the Ocean" enviro policy .. wildly stupid economic policy .. and so on .. so don't even pretend to go there .. not even in your mind.

That Reagan was a fiscal disaster is recorded History - having nothing to do with my input .. pull up records from the Daddy Bush period and the pundits are all pining away on what a disaster it turned out to be .. what a "failure"

Somehow the GOP has forgotten recent history .. the nonsense narrative that Reagan was some kind of fiscal hero brainwashing the youth in a mindless dance of deceit and self deception.

It's now obvious that if he were to win in 2024, trump would devote his time in office to rigging the system to keep himself in power forever.

lol, like I said, no REAL ANSWER would ever satisfy your desire to hear someone say, "it's because Democrats are so good at spending government money". You seem to have the answer so why don't you enlighten us with your words of wisdom? Please tell us why the promise of free money and high taxes is making the rich states richer.

False and refuted it, it was BLUE who passed the huge spending increases and through Clinton he was the first to request more spending than Congress allowed.

You have included all Rep president so so do I. Reagan helped to save or fiscal policies getting us out the previous disasters by both Nixon and Carter and we ended up with one of the longest periods of growth because of it. And it has been explained twice now that the deficits that followed were Dem driven not Rep driven.

False again, that budget was never even presented to Bush43 it was not passed until he was out of office PURPOSELY being held up until Obama took office and he could add in his additional spending. And the previous 2008 hit $400B because Bush threatened a total veto of the Dems push for even higher. And by the time that budget was passed there was only 3 months left in the recession we were coming out of. That deficit is SOLELY on the Democrats and they even celebrated cutting Bush out of it so get your facts straight.

Compared to the Dems $1,400,000,000,000 just two years later!!! My what we would give for $161B deficits now and even more it was heading to a Rep surpluses again. And YES it was due to the economic growth the previous tax rate cuts had helped create, THAT is what supply-side economics is all about DUH.

You haven't shown one point where I have while I have totally refuted you claims such as the one above the Bush had a hand in the FY2009 budge and it's resulting deficit and then of course you ignore that Obama and the Dems kept that deficit over $1,000B for the next three years. You ignore the fact that Presidents have the least power on the budget especially if they have an opposing Congress and base your flawed statements on a believe that Presidents are kings or something.

The he and Volker pulled us out of the greatest economic crisis and fiscal disaster we had had since the Great Depression and into a period of strong growth and economic success is the recorded history which the left has misrepresented and outright lied about for decades in order to try and excuse their own failed policies including the most recent and now the current.

I appreciate the fact that you don't dispute the results.

Although you accuse Democrats of being socialists, it's undeniable that blue states create more wealth than red states.

The blue states are more oriented towards finance, trade, high technology and tertiary processing, while the red states are more focused on the extraction of raw materials.

This is a summary, but if you have the courage to read this article, you will have a complete overview of the subject.

Interesting stuff. Didn't address many of the topics that I mentioned. I am particularly disappointed that he excused the rural/urban difference so easily as saying "well Red states have big cities too". While that is true, those big cities are ran by Democrats. This may seem unimportant to you but when he gives the score to blue states on crime, by a narrow margin, and you know very well that most of the crime is in the cities, it becomes important. The other thing he ignores is cost of living. Yes, you may earn more in San Fran than Muleshoe, Tx but you may live way better in your $50k 2000 square foot brick home that you own outright vs the single parent living in that $4000/month, 450 square foot apartment in California.

The whole blue state vs. red state is still too simplistic to make this generalization.

Refuted what ? did I not just school you in the fact that both sides are involved in passing bills .. now you repeat back to me what I just told you . and cry "Refuted"

The President carries the burden for the deficit - regardless of congressional make up - while he can not pass spending - he can limit it.
and in the balance of affairs - the give and take needed to run the show both sides agree to spend a whole lot of money .. under the policy direction of the President du jour.

Your claim that the massive deficit handed to Obama by Bush .. 1 Trillion of which was due to the Bush Crash .. was Obama's fault .. was hilarious .. you doing this in previous convo's long ago .. having it handed to you back then .. as is happening today ... the mark of a true hero .. returning to the same vomit -- hoping to find a diamond.

Likewise -- when you moved the goalposts to "Dem's fault" - as was the Bush Crash .. not the Dem's crash .. despite the fact that here to they were involved in the sht show .. Your just too brain fried on some kind of reverse partisan TDS to realize that the DEVIL is found not where the two sides disagree.. but on which they do agree .. as per directions on high .. which come down through the Presidents Office .. but also other places .. obviously the President having considerable abilities .. in this respect .. once again .. demolishing your position .. from a different angle .. pounded into the ground .. "Like a Boot - Stomping .. Stomping .. Stomping .. on a human face"

Gotta love Orwell :) Show us the Future he did :deadhorse::cheerleader:

You schooled no one except yourself when you went to look it up. I am the one who informed you it is not just the President who passes a budget and whatever happens is on them. It is Congress which has the greater role and control BECAUSE they are TWO houses and the President is one.

Absolutely false and absurd especially when the President is an EX-President as you claim Bush is responsbile for the spending the Dems passed and engaged in in FY2009. He only has a final veto but long before then budgets are negotiated to avoid a government shutdown. There is a political reality. And the President with an opposing Congress is a lame duck in the matter and doesn't direct it as their budget submission is simple ignored.

False again, it was handed to him by the Democrat Congress which included him and Biden. Mention the crash but fail to note it happened a YEAR after they took back the Congress and were already passing their legislation and forming their budget where they were fighting for higher spending than Bush wanted.

"In FY2009, Congress did not complete work by September 30, 2008. President Bush did sign some appropriations bills and a continuing resolution to keep the government running into President Obama’s first term, yet a Democrat controlled Congress purposely held off on the big spending portions of the appropriations bills until Obama took office. They did so for the purposes of jacking up spending. President Obama signed the final FY2009 spending bills on March 11, 2009.
The Democrats purposely held off on the appropriations process because they hoped they could come into 2009 with a new Democrat-friendly Congress and a President who would sign bloated spending bills. Remember, President Obama was in the Senate when these bills were crafted and he was part of this process to craft bloated spending bills. CQ reported that “in delaying the nine remaining bills until 2009, Democrats gambled that they would come out of the November 2008 elections with bigger majorities in both chambers and a Democrat in the White House who would support more funding for domestic programs.” And they did.
The Truth about President Obama's Skyrocketing Spending

"Unlike last year, when Bush forced Democrats to accept lower spending figures, this year could prove more difficult for the president. The fiscal year begins Oct. 1, less than four months before he leaves office.
"He doesn't have us over a barrel this year, because either a President Clinton or a President Obama will have to deal with us next year," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "We are not going to be held hostage to the unreasonableness of this president."

Much of the president's plan has little chance of passage, lawmakers and budget experts say. Nearly $200 billion in Medicare and Medicaid savings need congressional approval, which Democrats are unlikely to provide. "Dead on arrival," vowed Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
    http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/washington/2008-02-03-bush-budget_N.htm

I suggest you stop with the personal insults for lack of substance to add. You have offered nothing to support your claims while I have posted the actual numbers and outcomes and quotes from the Dems themselves. Refute the post stop with the snarky remarks.

The cost of living is a result of the attractiveness of a place.

Los Angeles is more attractive than Montgomery, Alabama.

Do I really need to elaborate on that?

No your not .. you have been laughably unable to understand the basics of how congress works .. initially blaming the 2009 deficit on Obama .. which is laughable .. then moving the goalpost to the Dems .. pretending that the Red side had no involvement in policy or spending.. Even though the President was red .. nothing to do with the Crash .. even though the President is Red for the 8 years prior .. which of course is pure nonsense.

Sorry mate .. 1+1 don't over-ride Veto .. need to bone up on those math skills :)

Total military spending was ~300 Billion in 2000 -- after 8 years of Baby Bush the spend went to over 900 Billion.. all the Dems Fault according to you .. nothing to do with Red - completely against their will...

Giggle Test mate .. you need to come up with claims that at least pass that muster :)

Yeah, maybe you should elaborate on your little theory, especially since "attractiveness" can be thoroughly subjective....

I suppose you do. Many people find that a small town with low crime, a low cost of living, no traffic, and decent people beat living in the large city. Many people gladly trade high pay for a low stress life. I've been to L.A. and Montgomery and I have to say that I would gladly trade Opelika for either.

Who cares about congressional dithering .. what they did manage to do was spend money. Your hopelessly grasping for straws - in desperate denial of the obvious .. completely ignoring the fact that 1 Trillion of the 2009 deficit was due to the Bush crash .. something that had nothing to do with anything Obama did while in office .. or Dems in the 2008 Caucus.

Your inference that Bush and Red Congress had nothing to do with increased military spend during the two Bush terms is mind bending absurdity and deception .. most likely of yourself
