https://www.texastribune.org/2022/07/02/biden-gulf-drilling-leasing-oil/ This week, the Biden administration took two of its biggest steps yet to open public lands to fossil fuel development, holding its first onshore lease sales and releasing a proposed plan for offshore drilling that could open parts of the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s Cook Inlet to leasing through 2028. The moves run counter to President Biden’s campaign pledge to halt new oil and gas development on federal lands and waters, and come as the president is under mounting political pressure to address high energy prices. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I guess Biden has had enough of getting blamed for high gas prices and has finally decided to do something. How long before he gets pounded by AOC?
Or.... just maybe.... Someone else intervened? Court strikes down ruling that blocked Biden’s oil drilling pause Dino Grandoni, Anna Phillips - 3h ago React
Court Bitch Slaps Biden Orders Drill, baby, drill -- and obey the law "Judge Terry Doughty of the Western District of Louisiana permanently blocked the January 2021 order in 13 states that" stopped drilling. Biden's illegal order violated "the Mineral Leasing Act (MLA) and Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), as it took steps reserved for Congress." Biden and his WH legal team are dumb as stumps when it comes to Separation of Powers. “Both statutes require Government Defendants’ agencies to sell oil and gas leases. The OCSLA has a Five-Year Plan in effect that requires eligible leases to be sold. Government Defendants’ agencies have no authority to make significant revisions in the OCSLA Five-Year Plan without going through the procedure mandated by Congress.” These dumbasses are still figuring that out. “The MLA requires the Interior Department to hold lease sales, where eligible lands are available at least quarterly. By stopping the process, the agencies are in effect amending two Congressional statutes. Neither the OCSLA nor the MLA gives the Government Defendants’ agencies the authority to implement a Stop of lease sales.” Look for the idiots to appeal.
Did Biden lower the royalty fees back to where they were before he increased them by 50%? That was a hidden gas tax.
Biden is floating this lie before the midterms because the dems know high gas prices are hurting their chances. Same reason Biden is using the oil reserves to artificially bring down prices.
And we all know why the price has dropped: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cn...day-from-reserves-to-help-cut-gas-prices.html
Is it your assertion that 1 million barrels a day from the reserves have driven the oil prices down by $40 worldwide? Gas is down well over a dollar now from it a high. Using strategic oil reserves at best w contributed .42cents. Likely anywhere between .17-.42$ at the pump.
I did. It’s from March. No results and speculation. I agreed it had a minimal effect on price. But not to the levels we’re seeing. You are attributing todays massive price difference to something that had a small effect. That’s simply not true.
Dang? You cannot provide numbers? Let me! https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jy0887 “As shown in the table above, our analysis suggests that President Biden’s historic SPR release, in coordination with IEA partners, lowered the price of gasoline by 17 cents to 42 cents per gallon, with an alternate approach suggesting a point estimate of 38 cents per gallon.” You got Owned.
As per your source: This is your original objection. You just proved yourself wrong.....how embarrassing for you.
This is what you said. Gas prices are down approximately $1.60. Far cry from $.38/.42. Your statement was patently 100% incorrect.
Hahaha! Let's do a little math with actual facts. The highest recorded average price for gas is: Today's average price is: https://gasprices.aaa.com/ $5.016 - $3.908= $1.108 Where did you get $1.60? You are wrong on that. Now, where did I say the reserve oil release caused a drop in price by $1.108? Answer: I didn't. Are you saying Biden releasing the oil is not affecting price?
