<TITLE EDITED TO MATCH LINK PROVIDED.> I just caught Biden giving a speech about his tax plans for America, how he would like to close tax loopholes for the rich, raise taxes on those individuals earning over $1 million a year/$2 million per couple, raising the top rate from 36% to 39.5%, make sure corporations/companies pay their fair share, & not hide funds in offshore tax-sheltering accounts. All these plans, which Biden promises will raise taxes on no one making less than $400 k/year, will PAY FOR his $2 trillion Infrastructure Plan, and more. They will also cover 2 more years of universal pre-kindergarten, and 2 years free of community college. And they will provide various tax credits for the MIDDLE CLASS, without raising the deficit. As Biden pitched, it's about who benefits from tax breaks: the very richest, or the bulk of Americans; it's about what is best for the country as a whole: higher education & skills training for good paying jobs of their futures, or more tax cuts for the most wealthy. The way the President laid it out-- that it's only a matter of having everyone contribute their fair share-- I expect this will be one more beam, supporting the new American house, that Biden is trying to build, which will be fought by Congressional Republicans but that will be broadly popular with voters.
