President Joe Biden on Thursday announced a $6.8 trillion budget for Fiscal Year 2024, which is $1 trillion more than his budget proposal last year.

Biden proposed increasing taxes in order to fund the budget…

…Currently, the national debt sits at more than $31 trillion, up from $27.7 trillion when Biden became president.

his plan is a Great Depression bringer. It will destroy the economy. It will destroy our pensions, 401k’s, and IRA’s. It will destroy the middle class.

This plan is DOA. It has a 0% chance of being enacted.

Both parties do the political dog and pony shows to appease their base. Just like the House GOP this year passed bills that they knew would never pass the Senate. Now Biden is doing the same BS with a budget that is DOA

But the House actually passed some items that have passed the senate already this year.

    No kidding...
Every Budget EVER Proposed in the Modern Era was NEVER Passed Without "Revisions"..
So, yeah, "It has a 0% chance of being enacted"...(As Is)...

But was Biden’s promotion of his budget a campaign event? It sure had the look and feel of one.

Remember folks, now that the president is a Democrat, the GOP reverts back to pretending about caring about the national debt.

A tad more complicated than merely trying to appease their base. They know that no Pub will vote on it because of much of the ludicrous items withing the budget. It will then be used in campaign rhetoric in 2024 of how evil the republicans are for voting against such a "helpful budget" to the people.

But yeah.. pure dog an pony for sure. Our institution is beyond broke, I've concluded.

And that the DNC has the POTUS, spending is good..

And let's be clear... I've been steadfast that even Trump went against his own campaign promise to reduce the deficit. Granted, COVID played a role, but even prior to COVID I was not happy with the proposed budgets. We need to reduce the size of government. What it has transformed into is a prime example of how bad a large government is...

Presenting this kind of budget proposal shows me how crazy and irresponsible democrats are.

Remember, the ONLY money the government has is what it takes from us and we went to war a long time ago over taxes.

And if the government could actually collect the same basic pct of taxes from everybody, we'd be set....

Why do you possibly oppose that? No offense, but I don't put you in the top 5% of income earners in this country...

That's true, but so is the hard-line GOP version of what the Budget looks like as well.

I will need time to look at the Biden's budget proposal and draw my own conclusions. I imagine some of it I would like and some of it I won't. But I will need to analyze it first.

But I heard that Biden's budget includes free community college, child care, and a renewal of the expired per-child tax credit.

So Biden is going to support families, larger families, and he's going to make sure the kids are cared for and educated.

At the same time, we're nearing the world's peak population, and the number of people in the world is set to shrink. Biden is a forward thinker! :)

And another thing, the fact that there'll be a deficit means that there are going to be plenty of bonds to sell. Lots of bonds. Why don't you take out some bonds for the kids and let them double in value over 20 years for when they're all grown up?

Biden/Dems wild red ink orgy has reduced Americans' real wages for 24 straight months. That's why the GOP won the fall elections to begin to restore sanity and rising real wages.

Dems screwed up by planning to spend more than allowed by law, so, the GOP is trying to help them out by negotiating a debt ceiling increase, but, Illegitimate Joe and Chuckles Schumer refuse to engage the GOP House in negotiations.

Democrats Call on Biden To Begin Negotiations With House GOP

    Solutions.

DEMOCRATS URGE BIDEN NOT TO USE AMERICANS AS HOSTAGES

'As House Republicans are teeing up a vote this week on a debt ceiling plan that includes $4.5 trillion in spending cuts, Democrats in Congress are calling on President Joe Biden to restart negotiations with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on the federal budget.'

'“He should negotiate on the budget. That is the place to negotiate, and they should start those negotiations now,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “Not using the American people and their mortgages as hostage because right now, you’ve got to simply make clear, we’re going to avoid default and get this behind us.'

Biden is 'putting the country in default'
McCarthy has criticized Biden for refusing discussions on raising the debt ceiling and cuts in the federal budget.

“For more than 80 days it’s been since I sat down with the president on Feb. 1 to negotiate, to work through this, and he’s ignored it,” McCarthy said

JOE MANCHIN APPLAUDS SOLUTION ORIENTED SPEAKER MCCARTHY.

'Manchin applauded McCarthy’s bill last week despite some of his own reservations about the proposed spending cuts. He specifically called on Biden to begin negotiations on the debt limit.'

'“I applaud Speaker McCarthy for putting forward a proposal that would rein in federal spending.” Manchin said in a statement. “While I do not agree with everything proposed, the fact of the matter is that it is the only bill actually moving through Congress that would prevent default.'

'“For the sake of the country, I urge President Biden to come to the table, propose a plan for real and substantive spending cuts and deficit reduction, and negotiate now.”'

CONCERNS THAT BIDEN IS SO MENTALLY INCAPACITATED THAT HE IS INCAPABLE OF NEGOTIATIONS.

“I applaud Speaker McCarthy for putting forward a proposal that would rein in federal spending.” Manchin said in a statement. “While I do not agree with everything proposed, the fact of the matter is that it is the only bill actually moving through Congress that would prevent default.'

“For the sake of the country, I urge President Biden to come to the table, propose a plan for real and substantive spending cuts and deficit reduction, and negotiate now.”

''As the reality of a potential default nears, some House Democrats have started to publicly urge Biden to start negotiations with McCarthy.'

“I don’t think there’s any harm in the two of them sitting down to talk,” Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio., told Politico, and condemned “the idea that we’re even coming this close to a potential default."

To paraphrase "a trillion here, a trillion there - pretty soon you're talking real money". And he's gonna take a trillion dollars of capital out of the economy in taxes?

Which GOP president submitted a budget that was a trillion dollars higher than the previous year? When it comes to trillion dollar deficits Dems are leading 6 - 1; and Biden still has two more years.

    Trump

    Trump budget 2019 - 4.4 Trillion
    Trump budget 2020 - 6.5 Trillion.

So you're right, it wasn't a trillion dollars more...it was TWO trillion dollars more.

This country needs to start cutting, not adding, and I don't care who is in Congress and the White House.

We have programs that are absolutely necessary and we have trillions of dollars in programs that are not.

Odd how the deficit ballooned by $7 trillion under trump, but we didn't hear about needing to be fiscally conservative.
