Joe Biden on Thursday slammed President Donald Trump for “fanning the flames of racism” by using his presidency and re-election campaign to verbally attack immigrants and people of color. "Donald Trump and his administration have pursued an all-out assault on Latino communities," Biden said during a virtual event with the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. "It started the moment he announced his presidency. Fanning the flames of fear and racism against Latinos." "From the moment he came down that golden escalator saying he was going to go after those Mexican rapists,” he said, recalling Trump’s infamous summer 2015 speech from Trump Tower in Manhattan. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...ainst-latinos-baked-trump-presidency-n1236076 It looks like Biden is already doing a great job of "flipping the script" on the latest "controversy" over his remarks about Latinos.. Obviously when it comes to Latinos, Trump has had a baked-in Anti-Latino Policy ever since he rode down that escalator. Obviously, Biden is spot-on about Trump's Anti-Latino Bias. Everything from Trump's attacks on immigrants to the Anti-Latino Racism associated with "Build the Wall" In any event, it is clear that any attempt to seize on Biden's earlier remarks about Latinos has been effectively squashed. As always, attacks against Teflon Joe fail to move the needle, Isn't it great how Biden so quickly flipped the script?
We got another good one folks. Let's go through these failures one by one. He's done nothing of the sort. Saying "the other guy is bad" isn't flipping anything. No he hasn't. It's the reason you all can never provide evidence of this claim. Not as if that stops you from making it, but the fact that it's baseless makes it entertaining for us. Trump's never attacked immigrants....only illegal immigrants....massive difference. But don't let a little thing like the truth get in the way of your agenda. Building the wall, literally, has zero to do with race. Again, don't let that little nugget of truth stand in the way of your propaganda. Saying, effectively, 'orange man bad' squashes nothing. Yea, and every emoji you throw out makes people switch their vote from trump to biden Biden can't flip the script away from is serious cognitive decline. If he speaks, he puts it on full display and if he hides...well, why would you hide, you're running for president.....
Democrats "care" racism only to the extent they can politicize it. They will ignore it completely in their own party, shamelessly so. Biden is toast.
If anyone hates blacks and Latinos it's Latinos and blacks, that's why they're segregated (gasp) in prison. Latinos have already admitted to their anti black bias and are sorta upset that Biden said he'd choose a black woman over a Latino, especially since there are far more Latinos in this country than blacks. They already feel Biden is giving them the little green weenie, and he was Obama's VP when Biden was hailed as the deporter-in-chief (even though we know he wasn't) The only thing Latinos like about Biden is that he put Corn Pop in his place.
He hasn't but I doubt it makes much difference. The biggest threat to Biden is turnout, and he isn't helping himself much across multiple fronts in that regard. He needs to be on knees begging Hillary to say yes to the VP slot. Nobody else will energize his campaign for more than a week.
I disagree. He won't pick Hillary as his VP. But, you are right, it won't make much of a difference. It isn't going to move the needle, and it won't cost Biden any votes. Trump on the other side of a Binary Choice, is why the Latinos will vote for or Biden. Yet another Epic FAIL to move he needle against Teflon Joe. Back to the drawing board.
Welcome to PF, but I don't see how Trump loses - the Democrats have been trying to burn the country down for 4 years, and people are sick of it. As far as Hillary goes, she's pure poison.
It comes down to swing state turn out for both candidates. They are fairly even or will be in the end. Biden being stuck around the same 50ish whether Trump is up or down suggests Biden has already peaked. I don't think Trump is a shoe-in, nor do I think he is as down and out as the democrats want him to be. I personally don't like either and see them as equally bad across the same metrics, so I don't really play favorites.
Some will some wont some will support Trump. Hispanics overpoll/underperform their % of the population. Some hispanics don't want the competition in their industry from illegals. Some have relatives here illegally they want adjusted. Results will vary.
You make a good point. The Latino Vote is split. The Cuban Vote in Florida being a prime example of varying sentiments. My point is that, this Biden comment won't be any sort of "gamechanger" that will massively impact the electoral decisions of Latinos.
Of course not. Very few people actually flip. It at most will cause 100 people nationally to say he isn't worth their time standing in line.
