Biden to Gun Owners: You’ll Need an F-16 to Go Against the Government

“President Joe Biden again mocked gun owners over the weekend, suggesting they will need F-16 fighter jets if they are really serious about taking on the government.

Townhall reported Biden speaking to reporters, referencing Thomas Jefferson’s famous quote, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Biden said, “And I love people who say, the ‘blood of liberty,’ or excuse me, ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots.’ Well, guess what, man, I didn’t see a whole lot of patriots that are out there walking around making sure that we have these weapons…And if you really want to worry about the government, you need an F-16.”

Not again! He really doesn’t get it. He’s not going to mock us out of our guns or our 2A rights. We don’t owe it to government to justify why we want to own a gun.

 

I mean he isn’t wrong. The argument that we need guns to protect ourselves against the government if they were to actually enter combat is extremely naïve

I am not aware of Biden being a proponent of gun confiscation though, just some regulation to help ease the gun violence issues and mass shootings we keep seeing.

He has signed fewer gun control bills into law than his predecessor did.

As to your quote about the tree of liberty, that was a common item passed around on 4chan, the Donald and other ultra right wing forums during their push to “protect our county” because the election didn’t go their way.

 

Hey Biden, we are not giving up our guns. We have 2A rights and not even your chest pounding about the coercive power of big government will persuade us to give them up to the likes of you. I own more firearms than the average person, and I am wholeheartedly enthusiastic about keeping guns away from people who should not legally own one.

How about we start with banning the sale of partial kits and unregistered lowers or uppers?

His point, in this case, is if you had the best civilian kit money can buy, would you want to battle the Modern U.S. Military?

I honestly don’t believe “banning” will save lives. We have to, REALLY, address our broken, violent and firearm ignorant society. Banning a class or type of firearm would just be replaced by what’s left on the gun store shelves.

We, as a society have to reach down and lift up the poor and disaffected, those with mental problems and Americans that feel left behind. We have to invest in ourselves to create a better, more peaceful world.

We have to pass laws to ensure gun owners know the basics of gun safety and how to responsibly store and care for them. And laws that filter out criminals and the mentally ill from firearm ownership.

This is one time the platitude that people are the problem, not guns.

Or Afghanistan or any other place civilians take on an organized military. Also there is no guarantee that there will be a unified military obeying woke orders to target American civilians on American soil.

Guys, this is a golden nugget: By his own confession, the government wit large had nothing to fear during 1/6/2020. So in other words, it was a riot and not an insurrection. Glad we got that cleared up.

As long as presidents continue to allow their terms to end peacefully, leaders in Washington will never have to find out how wrong Joe is about this.

The whole 'willful' part is important(and whether or not they themselves saw it as a rebellion), you know because intent matters. And this is just my IMHO, but the whole electoral act count reform put into law(which was considered practice) that the process of certifying the votes was ceremonial, therefore it's next to impossible to argue that the ceremonial process has the same standing as federal law, or enforcement thereof.

These factors are chief among why the POTUS is simply blowing hot smoke up people's ass, but the AG himself won't take action.

He is right. How can you match an unco-ordinated civil group with the US military? Even groups like the “3 percenters” (which I think refers to number of functioning brain cells) are no match against the co-ordination and sheer firepower of the military

 

I have asked this before. What do YOU think would have happened next? Let’s say they had killed Pence, Nancy, Chuck and anyone else they got their hands on - what would have happened next? Do you think Trump would have just declared himself the winner of the election and kept living in the White House?
