    I don't blame him, I commend him for doing the right thing. By forcing us as a society to acknowledge that children brought here without their ability to give consent should be punished as if they committed a crime is beyond stupid.

    It might be a good Idea for people to accept the fact that Obama is no longer our President, Maybe even once in awhile pretend that Donald Trump might possibly have some small hand in what the new President does.

    Trump's order allows DACA folks to renew their permits for another 2 years.

    Wait a minute. How can that be? The Dreamers are in this country illegally. Well, at least that is what Trumpsters are saying. So, according to Trumpsters, the Dreamers are here illegally but their hero, Trump, is going to give them permission to be here illegally for another two years.

    Trumpsters are obviously very confused. That is because Trump seems confused. Aw, hell, I'm confused.

    It gets even more confusing. The Justice Department announced on Tuesday it is ending DACA, the Obama-era program that allowed undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children to remain in the country.

    BUT, Trump gave Congress a six-month window to possibly save the policy he ended on Tuesday. :)

    Today, he wanted to insure Dreamers, who are here illegally according to Trumpsters, they have nothing to worry about. He tweeted, "For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about - No action!" Wheee! :roll:

    One has to wonder why he ended DACA. He loves the Dreamers, he said. Why didn't he just call for legislation to clarify the issue?

    That's right. He had to throw a bone to his base. They are gullible enough to gnaw the hell out it, and they will be satisfied with it. They always are.

    Oh....good point. I might also be a good idea to understand that Dems no longer control ANY aspect of our government and remember that it is the responsibility and function of those in power to legislate and enact policy.

    Good question. Why is Congress so ineffective? Most of those people should be tossed out on their fannys.

    Uh huh. A deferred, ill advised, unconstitutional order that was politically expedient. Trump placed the issue back in Congress's lap, where it belongs. Naturally, those who dislike the President fail to acknowledge the correctness of this move.

    Ask the more basic question: how and why did an unlawful executive order get put in place by a President who was a law professor? The folks in the Obama peanut gallery would prefer not to look at the origins of the problem. Not rocket science here people. If you're able to actually think (which is to say, you're able operate in a mode other than "Obama = good, Trump = bad"), it's fairly clear that Obama's order overstepped the bounds of the executive branch. Yes, please use your head!

    Many of the messes that President Trump is being required to address, including this DACA situation, are a direct result of what President Obama did. Just because Obama is no longer our President doesn't mean we no longer enjoy the cr*p that he did while in office.

    Absolutely. But I don't think it unjustified to point out the idiocy of those who legislated and enacted policies in previous administrations, especially when we recognize them as being ineffective, costly, or downright illegal / unconstitutional. May I remind you that in 2009, President Obama spent a good deal of time complaining about what President Bush had done.

    The idea that DACA was not an over-reach is absurd. The courts should weigh in...

    As to the question of what our immigration policy should be, I happen to agree with this guy...
