Not surprise in the least and I think this can be common for a lot of companies.

The real question of a monopoly however COULD absolutely be brought up at some point. Google really does have such a hold on such a massive segment of business that I really don't see the difference between Google and the railroad companies of old.

I absolutely see this as a political issue that comes up within the next decade. The more those companies censor things the closer we will get.

The percentage of railroad traffic that a small group of companies owned back then, is a much lower percentage than that of what massive things like Google and YouTube currently have now.

    Should be interesting.

Fox news doesn't use their political ideology to make decisions who can and can't use thier service like Google does
Google has an undeniable bias and that bias is used in their decisions to ban conservatives from their services like YouTube

It would be the same believing a justice system run exclusively by white judges would be fair to blacks

They ban people from being on their programs.
Jones isn't banned from watching tweets or videos. Just posting on them.

    I bet they've but 1000s of people.

Talk radio slants conservative because all attempts at liberal radio have failed. There’s no cabal preventing anyone from listening. Liberals simply don’t.

Very different from a business or industry that has been documented in harassing those who don’t share liberal views.

Quit whining. Alex Jones is a crazy conspiracy nut that broke the rules. He doesn't get a pass just because he is a Trump-bott.

fake news, there is no way to know how all the employees voted

I suppose one could say most educated people are democrats, so more democrats have tech jobs

Twitter over the last decade has posted more of Trump tweets then Obama Tweets, so they must be conservative - talk about people coming up with a answer and looking for a way to spin the data to support it

    regardless, who cares

If you listen to conservative talk radio, you'll find that they regularly harass those who do not share the same conservative views.

And that’s the same as emoyees being frightened to speak their mind for fear of being fired and ostracized at work?

Conservative Radio stations don’t actively go after liberal ones. Liberal talk radio died due to capitalism. Only NPR survives, but taxes pay for it.

You could choose another bakery to buy your cake at too. Seems you approve of bigotry as long as you agree with it. How interesting.

not the same at all, one is discrimination based on gender for a advertised product

google is free, and your not denied from using it

be like me saying fox is discriminating cause they wont let me personally decide the content they show me

I understand that. But the phone company became a public utility for what reason? How about commenting on the point though?

Facebook, Google, and Twitter are moving into the same territory as the telephone companies did.

Facebook is used by 1.8 billion people as a means of public communication. At some point, these businesses are going to become so dominate and such a part of the social fabric, they are going to need to be regulated, just like the phone companies.

You're all over the place, aren't you? You believe that those businesses could some day become public utilities. If and when that happens, they would certainly need regulation other than the general rules that all businesses have to adhere to. Get back with me then. For now you're just making childish remarks.

But they NEVER discriminated against the people. They discriminated against the type of cake. They would have sold them anything else.

Google would have to prove theyre not skewing their results. I use them and will continue until I sense something truly outrageous. The firing of James Damore was the first strike. It was intellectually dishonest and showed some real bias on the face of a very well written and researched document, something they supported. They were very hasty and prejudged him, sort of like any sexual harrasment allegation. He was guilty instantly when he really did nothing wrong.

or maybe people with higher levels of intelligence and education can just engage in rational thought or dialogue and end up coming to the same conclusion...

Conclusions like "socialism is a good idea"? I'd wager a fair amount of them would say as much. Educated doesn't necessarily mean that one is intelligent, or even has common sense.

And besides, dialogue isn't what the tech giants and acedemia likes, they like everyone to be on the same page. They have a problem with intellectual diversity.

We already have elements of socialism, we need it in a few more areas. When socialism produces better or more effective results we should at least consider it.

Some things do not need intellectual diversity to arrive at the most ethical and beneficial conclusion.

when commies signal their virtue re: "diversity", they are only referring to diversity in physical characteristics

Odd though... they say that race is a social construct, but also that racial diversity is a strength. Huh?

Wait, your claim is RW talk radio doesn't harass liberal views?
So the liberals said F talk radio. And now have social media. I guess RW is too old to know what social media is and can't generate a business.
Well that is the ebb and flow of technology.
