Which happens very rarely compared to usual homicides. Guns take many more lives then they save. Life is not a video game.
Was there supposed to be a point in there somewhere? How many people are in "this place"? How many directions can the gun fire in each time the trigger is pulled? If they walk into a school or a mall then anyone outside of the line of sight of the shooter is safe and can tackle the shooter.

Completely false and illogical, before a person can get close enough to tackle a shooter, the shooter is close enough that he can kill that person before he get's there. Only in an extremely rare case could someone be able to get the shooter from behind without being detected.

And shooters never turn around to watch their back which as I already explained Cruz was doing constantly. Plus you deliberately overlook the fact being armed give a person a huge advantage as they can utilize cover while directing fire toward the shooter which is what happened in Midland Texas stopping a Church shooting.
