you can't cut off the airway from the side of the neck and you can't tell from the video how much pressure was applied by that officer's knee. It doesn't take much pressure to have pinned Floyd down. Floyd was on the verge of cardiac arrest already caused by his resisting arrest. Don't get me wrong, the arresting officer made a lot of mistakes (intentional or not), but Floyd's actions of resisting arrest is a big part of his demise. Don't resist arrest....simple. Especially if you have bad health. There will be an investigation, there will be a trial, that officer will likely go to jail.....but who knows with a jury….OJ Simpson got acquitted of murder, and we all know he did it.
Oh I agree totally. The is as much evidence he was going to be a dead man before he even collapsed to the ground is enough to raise a reasonable doubt that the officers CAUSED his death. He was already in cardiac distress and as much reason to believe he would have died without the officers even touching him. And had he lived the officers would still have been charged with a crime for their treatment of him. But the issue is and what they jury will have do decided is did they CAUSE his death or was he going to die anyway. The defense is going to have a lot to work with in creating that reasonable doubt.
Crickets from the media. He was breaking quarantine, high on who knows what cocktail of drugs, and endangered the general public because he went out in public. Had this been a white guy, the left would be cheering his death at the hands of "noble" police who were simply protecting the herd from stupid.
So this infected counterfeiter put the cop's lives in jeopardy when the crimes he committed forced the police to arrest him.
