The Court has the power to intervene in all constitutional matters.

That would be my argument as well.

Unless the Court declares the Election was unconstitutional.

I don't believe anyone said that. The relief sought by the Petitioners is that the 2016 Election be declared unconstitutional. It does not seek to disqualify any candidate, nor does it seek to declare Clinton as the winner. While the Court might declare the Election to be unconstitutional, I doubt that the Court would set a date for a new Election, since that would be left to Congress.

It's interesting that the Petition states the Intelligence Community knew about the cyber-intrusions as early as 2015, long before Trump became the clear front-runner, and that they admit email accounts of the Republican National Committee members were compromised as well.

    If it has jurisdiction.
Original jurisdiction is defined by the constitution
Appellate jurisdiction is defined by law.

As "unconstitutional" means "in violation of the constitution", I don;t see how that will happen, absent a court with the predetermined desire to make such a finding.

Meanwhile, Paul Ryan becomes President and remains President until the end of the 2017-2021 term; the Constitution does not have a provision for a sitting President to be replaced via election outside the usual election cycle.

Yes we have the videos showing that jn tbe context of the question he did not lie. Sorry you dont get to seleftively edit it.

Sorry but past history as precidence is not off topic. The Dems and the left have little to stand on when it comes to such matter and they embarass themselves.

I did not see or hear of any law breaking in the Trump University civil case.

You don't have to read beyond the opening sentence to realise the level of partiality:

This is one hell of a road to nowhere.

It's the road to a Republican super majority in the Senate. The Democrats have 23 Senators up for re-election in the 2018 mid-term, 10 of which are in states that voted for Trump. If they lose 'em all that would give the Repubs 62 seats in the Senate.

They already are. They put up with Obama's lawlessness for many years.

I don't know what an "illegal" president is, exactly.

The Supreme Court can effect the election only if the procedures spelled out in the Constitutional were not followed, and then their only recourse would be to enforce the procedures as in make Congress go through it again. They have no authority whatsoever to undo an election or remove a president.

I would be afraid of such a Court. I don't trust Chief Justice Roberts, who sees things that aren't really there.

That would by my reading as well.

Nullify the election? That's right up there with "Lincoln was secretly a Democrat".

    Liberal wet dreams.

Bumping this because March 17th is tomorrow.

I wish I could be there in the chambers to watch as the powers at be take all of 10 seconds to reject this nonsense.
