Your spelling is horrific. I corrected it for you. Please learn how to spell. To coin a phrase, "You've got rocks in your head", or maybe, "You're as dumb as a box of rocks."
But they believed that the Jewish law was totally valid before Jesus came. How can people believe that it was great for the ancient Jews to stone gays but that its horrible for Muslims to do so?
Anyone who is condemning Muslims for stoning gays, while believing in a religion that commanded that very thing in ancient times, and that same religion condemns being gay as an abomination, is simply exploiting gays to attack Islam while ignoring their own hypocrisy.
When I commented that “religions are bunk..”. I was specifically refering to the paranormal claims that seem to be bundled with religion Claims that unfortunately are used to validate all sort of negative behaviors (like war or stoning of people for socially unacceptable sexual behaviors) That said, I acknowledge that there can also be incidental benefits to religious belief... ie emotional comfort, meditation, music, art, community cohesion, etc. Sadly it is near impossible to separate those positive impacts from the negative impacts like jihadism, homophobia, rejection of science, antisemitism, etc. once a person or group becomes convinced that they have a special connection to the supernatural... these people use that delusion to excuse every sort of prejudice as “god given”. Slavery, genocide, genital mutilation, witch burning, the inqusition, stoning adulters and gays.... pretty much any horrible activity can be excused by religion.....its not all universities, hospitals , j s bach, pretty pictures, and awesome cathedrals
That was really, really, really friggin stupid. Why is it so hard for you to understand things you are told many times, by many people.
I don't know. He brought the yeah but Christians defense to the table. The thread is now about his disgust for his perception of Christian hypocrisy and not the newly Brunei legal code. See how that works?
LOLOL I was watching that, and stuff is explained over and over and over and he/she still doesn't get it.
Yep, her office has been contacted several times since the Brunei story broke. She DID have time to tweet about how inhumane the U.S. is concerning immigrants, and the threat of white nationalism.
So in a thread about literal sharia, you decide to criticize Jews and Christians for being hypocrites for not stoning gays. Noted, thanks for your contribution.
i think that muslims are not the only religious literalists around. Possibly you are making the distinction that muslims are more despicable than jews or Christians in that they do not take the word of god so seriously? I do not criticize jews and Christians for being hypocrites. i simply note that if they were not hypocrites they would be acting similarly to people that we revile. So lets salute the hypocrisy of jews and Christians. Lets admire their openess to throw out the out dated xxxx in their holy book. I can only anticipate a future time when they will also discard the homophobic xxxx to which they still reverentially cling
Muslims make up roughly two thirds of the country's population. 40 percent of Brunei’s population consists of migrants from Asia, Europe and North America, who may be at the risk of being stoned to death. Brunei should face an international boycott over the implementation of Sharia law, which is quite similar to what the Taliban did in Afghanistan. Sooner or later, Brunei would start hosting IS training camps and exporting terrorism.
There's not too many things as sad as an broad brushers yammering on about valid comparisons between Islam and Christianity to show the flaw in their arguments, completely unaware of how foolish they look, unaware that the only people agreeing with them are equally dense and disingenuous.
The law of Moses is overridden by the new covenant of Christ. Having the history isn't an automatic approval of that history.
