How is a company that produces in America, using American workers, with profits traded on the NYC stock exchange "un-American"?

Why not? How is a Toyota car, made in America by American workers, not an American car?

i bet the new army pistol sig striker fire will double the accidentally firings over the double Acton m9 [IMG]
army mps break up drunk fights at bars or barracks on base and in the fight a drunk can take the officers pistol out of the holster
[IMG] and just pull the trigger and it will fire, a m9 will not if the safety is on

the only indication there is a live round in the chamber is the top indicator on a sig p320
[IMG]
the m9 you have a hammer back or double action it to fire with out the safty its hard to pull say 10 lbs to know its ready to fire
[IMG]
on my canik tp9 or my Springfield armory XD they have both top indicator and rear like this showing the firring pin is out means its cocked

But scuttlebutt is that the Sig will be chambered for that little European pantywaist ( Beta- male) rabbit stopper, the 9 MM Parabellum not the American man stopper (Alpha-male) .45 ACP.

To many Beta-males in America today.

I am sure he is much relieved, as I know he awaited your decision with bated breath:wink:

This is a non-issue to me, our troops need the best, no matter where it comes from.

I will be concerned when he tells me I can't buy a washing machine from the best supplier for the least money, to me it's utterly shameful and wrongheaded that Americans even have to encourage other Americans to buy American for patriotic reasons. It used to be it was just common sense, you did it because American meant the best quality at the best price

If it was made by an American company it would be an American car, but it's not.

I prefer to buy American. The few extra dollars and investment in my nation, her workers and our economy.

Hopefully Trump can help many companies produce products (= national wealth) in America again.

That's true, sadly. The 1911 is still king, it's downside is the limited mag capacity imo.

Only takes one .45 ACP round to do what two or three 9 MM rounds takes to do.

The .45 ACP is a man stopper.

A seven or eight round magazine is enough.

Gutengurg is an excellent source for credible information.

sig.... awesome gun

beretta.... awesome gun

9mm.... awesome round

45acp awesome round

serioussly debate over stuff like this is futile. classic pistol designs and cartridges are all fantastic. most new stuff on the market is fantastic although made a bit cheaper and easier to mass produce and IMO dont have the ruggedness of older designs in some aspects. mostly in the areas of small parts made from plastic or improperly treated cast steel. strikers in particular.

as far as what is better is all on the shooter and what you can hit with.

i dont rule out 40 s&w either. its just such a high energy round that many cant get comfortable with it. kind of like what a 45super or 460rowland would be to a typical 1911 shooter.

anyone who thinks berettas are not outstanding pistols has never researched the numbers and testing during the pistol trials. They are top notch and our military made a great pick for a 9mm sidearm. Those pistol trials were very tough.

personally i think the ruger p85 would have been the best choice due to raw ruggedness and servicibility but they were a bit late to the trials.

Why would he undo a deal 10 years in the making after less than a week in office? Why would he be against a gun made in America? Why would he force the military to pick a lesser weapon? Here I thought the left was pissed off because of their claims he's a Nationalist. Now they're pissed off because he didn't go full Nationalist on the bit. What a world.

No, firearms for the American military should be purchased except made in the USA by a USA company. There are a many excellent American made pistols to select from. There is nothing special about a SIG.

I think those sigs are made here by american workers though. I dont have a problem with that.

The most special aspect of a sig is the civilian price on the retail market. Glocks are even more special LOL.

great guns though.

Tricky one.
But then would a VW or BMW made in Mexico still be a German car?

Why should we be expected to “buy American” or made to feel guilty for not doing so? I totally disagree with patriotism; it’s a childish and outdated concept. Buy whatever is practical and affordable <common sense....that's the beauty of the free market

Because sooner or later no one is going to be buying whatever it is you sell (including your skills), because whatever it is you do can be done cheaper in China and Mexico, because even if your job can't be outsourced, an illegal can do it for a fraction of your salary in the US, because, if you don't buy American, Americans will sooner or later run out of money to buy what you have to offer.

Nonsense; we are a post-manufacturing economy. People have to change with the times and acquire the education necessary for more advanced skills which aren’t easily “outsourced”. We have to be competitive on a global level. China can fill factories and sweat shops, but we will focus on labs and Silicon Valley.
