Has pretty now much opened up our borders to anyone, no matter where they are from.
Sri Lanka is on the other side of the world, but rather than ask for asylum in one of the many countries he passed through, he's instead made a beeline for the US

We have an Immigration section but people rarely go to look there.

The asylum seeker movement is an effort to launder economic migrants into refugees.

I'd pass a simple rule: unless you have come on the shortest safe route you are automatically ineligible. This invalidates anyone except:

    Canadians
    Mexicans
    West Indians
    Russians

Well over 40,000 have streamed across our Northern border into Canada claiming asylum since January 2017.

I've noticed about 1 out of 12 of the homeless people in downtown Seattle appear to be Somalian refugees, and there are a lot of homeless people.

How did all these people get from Somalia all the way across the world to Seattle?

Are they legal, or did they fly into Mexico and then sneak through the border?
That must have been a long journey because I don't think there are even any functional commercial airports operating in Somalia.

Typical African Americans have a different look than Somalis.

Some of them can be heard talking together in groups of their own, so you know they have to have come from some East African country. Somalia is the most likely possibility.

(It doesn't sound French so that would rule out Madagascar and Mozambique)

Why would they fly into Mexico instead of flying into the US? You mean since the travel ban?

They need a visa to fly into the U.S.

That would let the country know they entered but remained illegally.

Also visas can be denied taking into account the following reasons if they are coming from a poorer country: age; health; family status; assets, resources, and financial status; education and skills.

What is the significance of it being a Californian judge?

Don't they need a VISA to fly into Mexico?

Mexico has much more lax visa requirements.
They might also have landed in some Central American country and travelled through Mexico, which is not that difficult, though technically illegal.

    You honestly don't know?

That the judge is in California is not surprising. California has a reputation for this sort of thing. The government there has a sort of "no borders" mentality.

I would abolish the refugee loophole entirely

They may not fly into Mexico but into another country that has lax or no visa requirements then join one of the many caravans heading north chasing the golden EBT card

I disagree as this would be challenged in court.
Accept their asylum application and process it within 48 hours. If they can show no credible fear as already outlined in the law they are deported immediately.
If a civil rights group launches a legal appeal, house them in Mexico until the court date then allow them in for the one day, then immediately deport them if the appeal fails.
Remember, they have the right to a fair and SPEEDY trial.

It's rightly called the land of fruit and nuts.
Why do you think the ACLU and other rights organizations always file in California courts?

The refugee loophole is a law passed by congress

If we change that law to abolish the loophole there is nothing the unelected demigods in the courts can do about it

In other words, they're blacks whom kazenatsu didn't like the looks of and he couldn't make out what they were saying..

Until Trump declares martial law and dissolves Congress that appears unlikely

So now you think anyone whom kazenatsu doesn't like should be deported to Somalia?
