I hope the president of the US will pull his head out of the sand. I know, fat chance for that.

    From The NY Times
President François Hollande of France called on Monday to amend the Constitution to fight
potential terrorists at home and for an aggressive effort to “eradicate” the Islamic State abroad.

His call to arms — “France is at war,” he said at the opening of his remarks to a joint session of the
Parliament — came as security forces in France and Belgium zeroed in on a suspect they said
was the architect of the assault that killed 129 people Friday night in Paris. The suspect, a
27-year-old Belgian, has fought for the Islamic State in Syria and has been linked to other terrorist
    attacks.

Mr. Hollande spoke after the French police raided homes and other sites across the country in an
effort to head off possible further attacks and the authorities in Belgium hunted for a suspected
    assailant in Friday’s attacks.

Mr. Hollande called for quick action by the Parliament on new legislation that would give the
government more flexibility to conduct police raids without a warrant and place people under house
arrest. He said he would seek court approval for broader surveillance powers. And he called for
constitutional amendments that would give more weight to security measures relative to civil liberties.

    France says they're at war.

    They're a member of NATO.

NATO says an attack on one member requires a response by all.

    .... interesting.

I missed the part in the linked article where France declared war on Islam as well as Islamic State? Or was that an editorial addition from yourself?

Our enemy is a few tens of thousands at most. It's not Islam. You and Daesh might want to increase our enemies from tens of thousands to 1.5 billion, but no thanks, I think that's a stupid plan.

At last we go on the offensive, and it's thanks to Vladimir Putin.** Let's just hope the Americans don't try to muscle in to take charge and (*)(*)(*)(*) it all up! [IMG] :wall:

** I said weeks ago that instead of antagonising Putin we ought to petition him to join forces against a common enemy.

You're right. Americans fight politically correct wars because we don't want to offend anyone. That's due to our liberal/radical/socialist friends.

Russia doesn't give a damn who they offend. They need to take the lead.

No, it's that "relgion of peace". The so-called radicals are doing exactly what their esteemed
prophet and supreme example Mohammad would do.

I hear so many people that profess to know Mohammad's message that I don't believe anyone anymore when they attempt it.

ISIS and our conservatives are just two different branches of the same thing and they're both out to destroy the world in service to their savage and inhuman ideology. It's up to us sane people to stop them. We cannot even try to kill 1.5 billion people without destroying ourselves and quite possibly all life we know of in the process.

That being said I absolutely agree with the French President and think we too should begin to regard the Russians as allies here. I think we are going to see Syria become a client state of either the French or the Russians very soon and would applaud that development.

Possibly not, but are you trying to defend proposals to kill 1.5 billion people as sane?

Nah.....never said that. I said massively bomb Syria, and if some innocent civilians get killed because the barbarians there hide in civilian neighborhoods and make civilian shields out of those poor people...."oh well". That's exactly what I said.

Now do the math, Einstein. Syria has 22 million people. Use A = S/N*n[i=1], and you'd probably kill off roughly 7.5% of the Syrian population to really eradicate all the terrorists hiding there. 7.5% of 22 million is 1.65 million people.

So where are you getting 1.5 billion? Just throwing BS out there for effect?

Anytime we can get Russia or China on the same page on an intervention, we should make it UN so as to strengthen that institution.

Pay attention to what I've been telling you. Marxism is advancing. They create the problem by placating these terrorists and allowing them into the country. Crisis happens, then their 'solution' is to take away the freedoms of the citizens.

What a Windfall for anti Islamic bigots!

The only problems with their "See how evil Muslims are!" is: ".....Muslim populations, people from Nigeria to Jordan to Indonesia overwhelmingly expressed negative views of ISIS.”(1)

    And...

Islamic Iran, Syria, & Hezbollah were fighting ISIL before being joined by Russia

    (1) “In nations with significant Muslim populations, much disdain for ISIS”

EXCERPT “According to newly released data that the Pew Research Center collected in 11 countries with significant Muslim populations, people from Nigeria to Jordan to Indonesia overwhelmingly expressed negative views of ISIS.”CONTINUED

    [SEE GRAPH]

In Lebanon, a victim of one of the most recent attacks, almost every person surveyed who gave an opinion had an unfavorable view of ISIS, including 99% with a very unfavorable opinion. Distaste toward ISIS was shared by Lebanese Sunni Muslims (98% unfavorable) and 100% of Shia Muslims and Lebanese Christians.

Israelis (97%) and Jordanians (94%) were also strongly opposed to ISIS as of spring 2015, including 91% of Israeli Arabs. And 84% in the Palestinian territories had a negative view of ISIS, both in the Gaza Strip (92%) and the West Bank (79%)." CONTINUED

If you want to hate Muslims, Jews, Blacks, Whites etc, it's your right but don't hate Muslims because they're innately violent.

These were not terrorists who happened to be Jews; rather, they were extremist Jews who committed acts of terrorism based on their religious passions, just like Al-Qaeda and company.

I just read a thread about France still being committed to taking in another 30,000 refugees in the next two years. France will probably end up turning those broad, sweeping, anti-terrorist, constitutional amendments against French citizens who don't tow the multicultural line. Nothing will change. The French will still be put in prison for hate speech against minorities. They are still bound and gagged.

How does a strong man get his house broken into by a weak man unless the strong man first be bound and gagged. The Bible.
By the way, name all those vast accomplishment by the far left and far right.

Please do not confuse France with the french Government. The people have been disgusted with the invasion of Muslims since 1959....Its their pandering PC government that created the problem, not France.

I suggest you do some research on your own and not rely upon the "evening news" for your
    information.

History shows us Mohammad's message. I find it necessary to read and research before making
any claims. Since I've done that for years I know what Mohammad's message is. He's made it
    very clear.

What research have you done? Please be honest.

Why in the world do yo believe that? Seriously? Please provide a reasonable source for
    your information.
