Mak, what possibly justification can you have to say that the Sudanese immigrants are not at fault and it is just "racist Australian bogans" that are the problem? The Sudanese have just been through a civil war and are breaking into two separate countries. They come from a very violent and unlawful place. They're not some happy go-lucky passive people who can only react to the actions of whites. They're not going to suddenly change from their cultural backgrounds just because they come to Australia. Many of them will have grown up in a war zone where violence is relatively common. It is naive to just blame everything on the "white racists".

 

The vast majority of Sudanese are NOT here to fight. Why do the majority get blamed for what a few of them do? Its because racist bogans in this country (mainly Liberals) can't put aside their racist attitudes and act like proper Australians.

This hasn't really been that much of a public issue, the vast majority of Australians are happy to have anyone from any background who is a productive law abiding citizen.

Your points are redundant. Since it's just a minority of "racist bogan Australians" that apparently think that the Sudanese are "just here to cause trouble", who the hell cares? But there is no escaping the fact that some of the Sudanese in particular, coming from a notoriously war-torn country, have some serious issues. Why must we dodge this real problem? Obviously not all Sudanese are the same, I've been to Sudan and not all of the country is totally retarded, certainly the capital isn't. I can understand why these kids have certain issues with violence. I never said that "Aussie kids" don't have issues with violence either.

...people coming in boats fleeing a war in their country should be let in, and not put into detention centres, or only for a very short time.
I think we should welcome those people. They had enough hardship, why make it even harder for them?
