    Here is my theory.......
sales people tend to lie and exaggerate!

Quite talented and gifted people all around the world who are promoting and selling fighter jets
other than the F-35 will probably get quite a few sales due to the relatively low cost
    of their jets.

The fact that these people know that what AboveAlpha wrote about how their
jets actually fare against the F-35's or F-22 Raptors will not discourage them from
    making sales ...... but........

as these sales people become aware that the jets that they have sold
have zero chance of doing well against the F-35's in an actual battle.....

these sales people may begin to work hard to decrease tensions between the
superpowers, and all other nations..... so that no actual full fledged
combat with the F-35's takes place......
which would prove once and for all that what they had been selling and
promoting were just as inferior as AboveAlpha wrote back in March of 2015?

We're too stoopid. If history has taught us anything... Outside of the fact that we never learn from it... It's that we ALWAYS find new, & interesting ways to kill each other.

No, it will take a looming global disaster, or first contact with ET for anything like world peace to break out.

F22 is a very very nasty weapon system. Very high speeds combined with an almost non existent radar signature make it one of the hardest targets in the sky.

F35, while also highly capable for ait to air action, is really in its element as an air to ground weapon.

The single true drawback to both of these is that they have low survivability thresholds. While it's true of all 4th and 5th generation aircraft, these 2 depend on stealth technology to be at their best. Once that it compromised, they chances of mission success drop significantly.

Rabbi Judah ben Samuel predicted about a thousand years ago that 1917, 1967 and 2017 were Jubilee years.

He stated that 2017 had something to do with the coming of Moshiach ben Ephrayim/ Messiah son of Joseph/ Yosef.

This is an auspicious time to make an offer to the two nations of Israel and Jordan that could soon
result in dozens of F-35's keeping Jordanian and Israeli air space safe from ISIS and other threats.

Aliens can be extra-dimensional as well as extra-terrestrial.

I am Canadian and I began the following discussion while I was still a member of
    Canada's Liberal Party.

I had to give Conservative P. M. Stephen Harper credit for advising us to use the F-35....
I was one of the many Liberals who felt that he was correct in this policy.

In December of 2015 I left the Liberal Party and joined the Conservatives in order to
attempt to encourage Mr. Peter MacKay to campaign for the office of national leader.

Could P. M. Stephen Harper be correct abt the F-35 being the best for our air force?

The second I hear about a 7 year peace treaty in the ME, is the day I REALLY start looking skyward.

The problem with air superiority is that it is always vanquished by land superiority, i.e., if your jets can't get off the ground, the ground always wins.

Air power also doesn't preclude ideological aggression or success. Folks have to remain ideologically convinced which likely has a much greater determinative outcome that simple strategic/tactical air superiority.

So while both he 22/35 are excellent examples of technological prowess, they are less likely indicators of political success. In the age of weaponized space platforms, and autonomous drones, superiority may likely be less certain.

Talking to an Air Force mechanic about 13 years ago, I realize that drones were the way of the future. That was his prediction based on the way things were going.

    Bull.

The F-35 will not fare as well as predicted, the enemy will not be as stupid and inferior as predicted. Systems in test always perform much better than they perform in the real world. And the longer a system is in use, the more the "enemy" learns about it and takes action to counter it.

It was supposed to be impossible to shoot down an F-117 until the Serbs did it in 1999 using "obsolete" equipment.

Anyone who puts all their bets on a piece of equipment and ignores the man and the system is a fool headed for disaster. History is full of examples of a so-called inferior nation defeating a so-called superior nation. Vietnam ring a bell? Cuba. Afghanistan.

And I think the drones will be cheap, numerous and tiny. When I first heard that ISIS had drones I knew that the day of the IFD or Improvised Flying Device could not be far behind.

Think of how anyone could fight a swarm of flies, all carrying a gram of C-4

themselves away from their phones for long enough to
    manage a farm......
    or a business.....
or even keep their homes clean.....
    let alone win a war?!

Yeah, I'd read those... Think I commented on at least one...

I read more stuff here than I comment on.

Truth be told, I've always said that the one charismatic world leader who'd likely usher in that 7 (3.5 in actuality) year peace in the ME, would be a businessman.

Near death experiencer Dannion Brinkley in 1975 was shown a variation on
    the Mark of the Beast......
that sure rings true to my thinking.

In the time line that Dannion was shown..... yes....
it was an extremely wealthy businessman.
