Can the GOP have a better presidential candidate this time around?

Honestly, because in my opinion I haven't seen one since Ronald Reagan. I think the whole idea to vote in anyone from the Bush family is terrible. Then there was the whole Mittt Romney ordeal and I don't even think McCain was that impressive. I think the GOP got it wrong each and every time. I hope they pick someone electable. I hate Hillary and refuse to give her my vote. If need be I'll "throw away my vote" on an Independent candidate like Jesse Ventura.

no! Don't throw away your vote! Be rational, choose the lesser evil. Throwing away your vote is the same as voting directly for Hillary. Unless you vote for the GOP candidate you are in effect voting for hilllary. I know your system is flawed, but you have to do the ebst of the situation.

Doesn't look like it. Jon Huntsman might have been worthwhile, but he bowed out. It seems that only the squeaky wheels get the necessary media grease.

I doubt my vote would make much of a difference anyways. I am starting to feel like everything is just staged and whoever the powerful figures want in there, that's who will end up in there. I'm just the little guy. My vote means nothing. I just vote because I want to have a right to complain.

If you truly believe in that position, why post to a political forum?

I have a hard time believing anyone who would have voted for Reagan, would vote for Ventura, over any seen Republican Candidate. Demographics are different today than in 1980, and a good share of people were not alive during Reagan's time, but if one of the 25 potential candidates, would simply start talking policy and get off Hillary or the other 24 cases, he/she might get a try at it, but even the worst of the worst....would be better than Hillary or Lizzy.

Just because my political opinions and beliefs are a small voice and don't matter in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't mean I don't have my opinions and feel passionate about certain things. If there are others who do share my vision which its been shown around here that there are, who are tired of just people wanting to look good on television, facebook etc. and actually do something right for this country, that's what I would believe in.

Yes ok I did not vote for any Bush that has run for office nor did I vote for McCain or Romney. Why should I? Why would I vote for them just because I voted for Reagan? That makes no sense. Are you saying I should blindly vote for candidates just because they won the GOP primaries. I never said I would stick by the GOP if they had a crappy candidate.
