I coached and ref'd youth sports. There were always idiots who berated kids. It was sad and they were always asked to leave. Those occasions never got any ink in a paper nor required an online attack at those evil "right wingers". I wonder why this occasion does require all of it?

you are correct that obsessions can be deemed a mental disorder. As a ref, I had the worst time with parents of kids age 9-12. We're talking life and death when it came to sports. Heck, those 9 year-old kids had lots of pro scouts in the stands.................or so it seemed based upon some remarks. As for the idiot in this story which by the way, is cherry-picked, because idiot "fans" are everywhere, he should have been escorted out. I again state, it's amazing how this one incident, which sadly is not uncommon, needed to become a news story. What made this incident stand head and shoulders above the others? That should be an easy question for you to answer without any swerve.

I was just trying to make the point that as a RWer I can agree that parents shouldn't be heckling kids but folks on the other side cannot agree that males just should not be in women's sports

Given that “gender” is merely an artificial construct, perhaps the solution is not divide sports into male and female. Because what really is a “male” or a “female”. Maybe all people should play in one league. Problem solved.

I didn't actually know. I guess I assumed like the guy in the article did. My bad. there is another way to look at it though. If they didn't have all this madness with men in womens' sports to begin with then people would not assume that.
also, no I don't think dangerous sports should be banned.

 

Most people on the left do not believe trans people should be able to compete against the sex they have transitioned to after puberty, it’s currently less than 45% that want them to be able to do so and dropping each year.

Most people though just don’t believe the state should be involved in this though, it should be up to the individual athletic boards of each sport.
