for 3rd time: how can socialism move closer to the free market when it is opposed to the free market?? See what happens when you try to be serious?

You don't understand socialism. You don't understand communism. You don't understand capitalism. You don't understand economics. You can type noise.

Problems in the face of socialism.

    The 80/20 rule.
    The tragedy of the commons.
    The local knowledge problem.

The number of these problems that are as of yet solved by socialism: zero.

Can't you understand the basics? There is no free market with market concentration (see, for example, influence cost analysis on the corruption of government). Market socialism necessarily leads to firm creation and therefore reduced market concentration. And the large firms are no longer motivated by short term destructive profiteering.

Everytime I mention economics you do off on one. Why is that? No need to answer: its because you don't understand economics

I've already demonstrated your ignorance. You don't even know the nature of the socialist calculation debate, via Hayek, and how it influenced socialist political economy. I've seen no evidence that you know any economics.

if there is too much much concentration the free market will correct it. 1+1=2

At least get Hayek's socialist calculation debate right. The idea that it comes down to the likes of the tragedy of the commons (which focuses on individual profiteering) is ignorant

I'll help you: if too much concentration leads to high prices or low quality it encourages new competition. See how easy that was?

Think more now. Why do countries have different rates of self-employment? Why do countries have different rates of SME creation? If you think its a neoclassical reference to abnormal profits then you're wrong, but at least you would be referring to economics for a change!

I'll try again. What is the US self-employment rate? How does it compare with other Western nations? Go further. Have a look at any analysis into actual self-employment rates and compare it with desired?

Sorry for mentioning to economics to you!

many reasons, taxes culture etc but who cares since we don't know how much self-employment we should have. This is for free people to decide in a free market. Got it now?

So Western economies have higher self-employment rates than the US because of cultural effects? Somehow Americans are less entrepreneurial?

Americans have 70% of all recent medical patents so lead the West by a huge amount. Europe lives at 60% our standard of living and it would be 30% without our inventions to get them into the modern era. France has per capita income of Arkansas about our poorest state.

You didn't actually refer to my comment. Tut tut! The US has very low self-employment rates. You mentioned culture. Are you saying that the average American is less entrepreneurial? Try to be relevant this time!

I don't have it wrong. Any suggestion otherwise is ignorant.

I'm starting to see why you argue this way.. It's so easy.

Tragedy of the commons isn't a reference to socialism. It a reference to environmental disaster created by individual profiteering behaviour: from overfishing to climate change. That you would think otherwise, particularly when Hayek made the case for capitalism so clear, beggar's belief.
