Yes how true. I hate to admit to having gone to Catholic school until I was thrown out*was an alter boy-( no F-ing comments I was not molested), and I did stop going to church a few years ago after this crimonal "priest" molestation crap came out.

*-- not my fault for getting thrown out. I had to break a bully's nose and if he did not bleed all over the stair case and if a goody two shoes girl did not squeal the Nun would not have seen it.

 

I'm very much hoping that the state of Pennsylvania opens up the civil side for these people to sue. Unfortunately, the precedents set by the court make it unlikely that many of these priests will be punished due to statue of limitation issues.

By punished I mean criminally prosecuted.

 

There is no doubt that the Church covered up this criminality and sin against humanity. Any Catholic will recall that priests in a parish would suddenly get "transferred". If the "transfer" was out of state you knew that it was not for the official reason given which ideally was the BS that "Father" Buggerman was needed to help a church out in Mule Falls Montana. If one of the Pervert "priests" was sent overseas you knew that they must have been serial molesters.

 

Regardless of what the school thought, I think you made God smile by standing up to a bully.

 

You are correct but there is a way around the statute of limitations and that would be to set up a Deep Cover unofficial sort of a Delta Force and kidnap the Buggers out of the country say to Kazakhstan and hold trials and executions there. Unless the Vatican will accept their criminal "priests" for trial and execution.

Unfortunately there is a statute of limitations on these crimes these priest committed, but there is a place that has no statute of limitations?!!

Maybe it's time for all Catholic Priests to be castrated as a requirement to enter priesthood. I think catholic priest generally don't marry, so why the heck do they need their Balls if all they're going to be doing is preaching the good word. The penalty for molesting children should be automatic castration and then life in Prison or death at the hands of the victim or their parents.

It's just awful. What I'm not clear on is if these are new molestations, or go back to the 2002 era that we already knew about.

There were two indictments which came out of the Pennsylvania grand jury. All other crimes were beyond the statute of limitations.

Most of those probably go back to the 2002 era when 5000 priests were defrocked and attorneys generals of the several states didn't go after them then because of the statute of limitations. It's too bad that church law doesn't provide for such priests, bishops, and cardinals to be extradited to Vatican city to receive capital punishment.

Maybe there will be further reform, in the church like there should be in the USA, making a conviction on pedophilia molestation automatically subject to the death penalty.
