Cheney: Obama Has Appointed ‘Second Rate People’

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – “Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Saturday night that President Barack Obama has jeopardized U.S. national security by nominating substandard candidates for key cabinet posts and by degrading the U.S. military.

"The performance now of Barack Obama as he staffs up the national security team for the second term is dismal," Cheney said in comments to about 300 members of the Wyoming Republican Party.

Cheney, a Wyoming native, said it was vital to the nation's national security that "good folks" hold the positions of secretary of state, CIA director and secretary of defense.

Cheney said Hagel, a former Nebraska U.S. senator, was chosen because Obama "wants to have a Republican that he can use to take the heat for what he plans to do to the Department of Defense."

He said Obama's plans are to allow severe cuts in U.S. defense spending, which would limit the capability of the U.S. military to respond to future foreign crises well after Obama has left office.

"He is today ... establishing what limitations will be on future presidents," Cheney said.

Cheney noted that the security situation in the Middle East and North Africa has worsened under Obama's watch with Iran actively pursuing nuclear weapons and with turmoil in Egypt, Syria, Mali and elsewhere.

"That part of the world is as dangerous now as it has ever been," he said.

The Obama administration's response has been to pull back U.S. military presence and influence, resulting in rising mistrust of the U.S. from allies such as Israel and Saudi Arabia, he said.

Despite Obama's re-election victory, Cheney said he hopes Republicans can revive their political fortunes by holding to conservative principles.

"I believe we're all going to pull together, work hard, dig in and do what needs to be done," he said.

Cheney, who received a heart transplant about a year ago, appeared fit, although his voice turned hoarse on occasion during his half-hour speech.”

IMO: Dick Cheney should just keep his mouth shut where it concerns “second rate people”...he’s one himself. Not many Vice Presidents could employ a conspiracy to get America into a war that is still going on just to get to a country’s oil fields, the same as the real reason President Bush invaded Afghanistan...the terrorists that caused 9/11 were Saudies.

Cheney and his ‘enabler’ GW Bush and their fellow conspirators (Cheney's idea of "good folks") lied to our nation to get us into various wars before they were all kicked out in disgrace and not one of them is in jail as a result of their actions while millions are dead because of the intrigues of GW Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Libby and others.

Secret torture camps, and the fact that the troops’ first duty upon invading Iraq was to secure the oil fields where they sold black market oil to the world without accurately measuring output, but ships came in daily from all over the world and filled up in a black market deal with GW.

This makes Cheney defintely second rate, plus he and his cohorts all had jobs promised in the White House if Mitt Romney had won the election which gives you a pic of what Bush’s war hawks are doing these days.

Obama has been a terrible president who did appoint people who were as incapable as he is.

First rate people wouldn't have allowed the Obama administration gun running operation to continue as soon as they started losing track of the guns. The very reason Wide Receiver was shut down in 2007. They allowed it to continue and that resulted in hundreds of Mexican Citizens deaths as well as 2 American Law Enforcement Agents.

First rate people would have evacuated our people from Benghazi after the bombing of our consulate and the attempted assassination of the Brit Ambassador earlier in 2012. Or at the very least beef up security like crazy. Hillary was way to busy dancing in South Africa in Aug 2012 to be concerned.

Lastly, a First rate President would have proceeded to the situation room and handled the attack himself instead of getting 1 phone call. But, he was too busy getting ready to campaign in Las Vegas the next day.

We surely don't need Cheney to tell us what a pack of Losers Obama and his administration really is, we can see it for ourselves.

 

I am a real conservative.

Bush was a "compassionate conservative."

There is a vast difference between conservatives who use logic and those like Bush who just react to their feelings.

But little did I know how much worse things could be.

 

I was just wondering why a Bin Laden al-queadist who Cheney says was also a Saddam operative would want to buy uranium for Saddam so coud build a nuclear bomb ... then change his mind and do a suicide attack just to meet the 72 virgins ... seems to me setting off a nuclear-event is a bigger badder way to go ...
