Cheney: Obama is the worst President of my lifetime.

Dick Cheney is not a big fan of President Obama (and vice-versa).

In an interview published in Playboy, Cheney called Obama "the worst president in my lifetime," and that his damaging legacy will endure.

"I used to have significant criticism of Jimmy Carter," said the former Republican vice president. "But compared to Barack Obama and the damage he is doing to the nation — it's a tragedy, a real tragedy, and we are going to pay a hell of a price just trying to dig out from under his presidency."

Cheney attacked Obama's foreign policy, including a "precipitous withdrawal" and the status of the U.S. military.

"The way Obama is functioning now, he's crippling the capacity of future presidents to deal with future crises," Cheney told Playboy. "It takes a long time to build up that military force. And I am absolutely convinced there will be a future president — two or three times down the road, perhaps — who will be faced with a major crisis and will not have the military capability he needs to deal with it."

Obama and aides have said that Cheney and President George W. Bush undermined military strength with an unnecessary 2003 invasion of Iraq, and damaged U.S. relations with allies in the process.

What can I say, Dick Cheney nailed it, not that he has opened anyone's eyes. And the platform to deliver his Obama remarks was good and appropriate, too. Playboy!

 

Yep, he nailed it. I'm glad he came out and said it. I wish Bush would make a few statements like this.

Since Cheney was the worst President in my long lifetime, I think this is only fair.

 

So guy who sent our military to die in a war against a country that posed us no threat while profiting from military weapons and told us it would take weeks and we would be greeted as liberators is criticizing the current President? That's nice.

 

Jimmy Carter can go to the afterlife secure in the knowledge he was not the worst PoTUS in modern times thanks to Obama

 

Not crazy about Obama but I much prefer him to GWB or Carter. Especially GWB. His Presidency was utterly disastrous for our country.

 

Well, let's see if Obama's approval gets as low as GWB's when he leaves office. I highly doubt it's anywhere near as low.

 

Actually having a terrorist attack on 9/11/2001 was what was disastrous to our country, but feel assured, it will happen again because Americans haven't the balls to fight these islamo-nazis, and worse, we are stuck with a president that apologizes for fighting them, and now won't mention their names

 

None of the right wing Republican presidents even begin to measure up to these successes.

I will defend the president, whomever is occupying the office, from unfounded stupidity, such as birtherism and all the other moronic claims like socialist and Muslim and all the other deranged nonsense conservatives invent.

The last person who should be criticizing Presidential Administrations.

Obama has done some really crappy stuff, but most of it was just because he didn't End (and in some ways expanded) on policies created and put forth by Cheney and Co.

 

That's because even as disenchanted as the MSM currently has become with their Political Messiah they still soft pedal Obama's screw-ups and illegal activities to the public in comparison to what they did for Bush's final two years in office. Most citizens are swayed by the tone that the bulk of the MSM takes toward a president. In addition the reason that Obama is not already as unpopular as Bush in polling returns is his skin color. Nobody wants to be labeled racist and the MSM has made it abundantly clear that anyone criticizing Obama MUST be provisionally suspected of racism. So rather than telling the actual truth as to what they currently feel about Barack the majority of people polled are very simply fudging on the side of NOT being thought of as r-a-c-i-s-t.

 

Wow a Republican thinking Obama is the worst president of his lifetime, who would have thought THAT would happen.

You keep repeating that but if you actually looked at a chart.... you would see they were rarely that far apart.
