Chicago proves that black lives only matter to people who can use those lives to earn political points.
There have been more murders lately, not because of gun laws, but because the thugs have been emboldened by #BLM Black Supremacists and their advocates like Barak Obama and the Mainstream Media. The murders were even higher in the mid-1990's with the drug gangs setting up territory. Just the other day, two thugs peddled past an unarmed old Black/Hispanic man and shot him in the gut and robbed him. The thugs can be as bad as they want to be. It is highly unlikely there will be any arrests, let alone convictions in that case.
HOLY CRAP! THIS IS THE NEW DEFINITION OF THE WORD "WRONG." The murder rate in Chicago is due to Liberal thinking, not the NRA. It started with white police officers having confrontations with black men and the incident going viral. Obama took every opportunity to jump down the officers throat before the facts were in. That's why Black Lives Matter exists and there are so many black people that still believe that officer Wilson murdered a surrendering Michael Brown in spite of an autopsy to the contrary and five black witnesses that testified that Brown was attacking officer Wilson. Instead of telling people to behave, Obama and every black politician and "leader" in this country has put their stamp of approval on black rioting and attacks on police officers. In their own defense, in this current climate, cops have backed off of the aggressive performance of their duties and the inmates now run the asylum. I'm an NRA member. I live near Chicago. I have one of those horrid CCW permits that you think are responsible for all the black kids being killed and I have no freaking idea what the HELL you are blathering about.
I guess it's easy to blame the NRA (though they are a gun control group IMO.) If you would look at the mayor, chief of police, city council, county leaders, state representatives - EVERYBODY that represents Chicago, they share a commonality. But, nobody dare blame the problems Chicago has on the representatives who have proven something we dare not talk about.
Perhaps that is due to the majority of the people in the city of Chicago having felony records that legally prohibit them from exercising lawful firearms ownership.
why necro this dead thread? fact remains, most of the shooting in Chicago are Felons shooting other felons and that is increasing because the cops are becoming less proactive. You are not being truthful when you claim that its due to "less restrictive gun laws" because felons are still banned from owning guns and its the felons who are doing the shooting
