I figured Chris Christie would be politically smart to stay out of too much commentary on the race.......you know, keep himself relatively clean for a future national run. But recently, he's laid into Newt Gingrich with reckless abandon. I would have liked Christie at the top of a ticket, but at the bottom I think he's hurting Romney. Romney's downfall 4 years ago was his attacks and gutter politics style. If he goes that route again, he may not even make 2nd place this time around. The GOP is getting reminded about why they didn't like him.
Where is the "trashes Gingrich" part? I'm calling false advertising here. Christie listed what Gingrich supporters already know........and apparently do not care. They still favor Gingrich over Romney. Christie has endorsed Romney. He is going to do his best to put some lipstick on the pig.
Romney endorsed Christie in 2009 but I can't find any evidence that Newt did. Maybe this is Christie's chance to get even.

it just shows what gingrich will get in the future - the media and the citizens will be swayed away from policy by personal conduct - in this day and age, none of that stuff is allowed really unless you can speak very well
