    No. 'Religion', possibly. There is nothing seriously Christian about the Christmas nonsense, which nobody made anything of for the first three hundred years of the Christian era: it is obviously nonsense based on the obsession with prophecy that turned the First Century Jews Christian on the way to mostly being Muslim. Christianity is summed up in the Magnificat, the Sermon on the Mount and the description of the early Church in Acts. Americans left their own countries largely to make money, and they worship Mammon, whatever the prettying-up they favour to cover that fact.

    Like any religion, be it Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, or anything else, Christianity has those that associate themselves with it, and only choose to "follow" that portion of it that they agree with...

    Or take pieces of their respective religious texts, take them out of context, and use that to do things that others find reprehensible...

    That's the way it's always been, and, I don't see it changing anytime soon...

    Facinating discussion on religion;

    must investigate the Anthropitclus of the den. It has similar concepts.
