I've had more people wish me "Merry Christmas" this year than in the past 10 years combined. After two terms with Obama, the gloom is finally lifting. Americans are weary of the divisiveness with our demographic groups pitted against each other, battling for crumbs.

It's like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders.

    Merry Christmas!!!

It feels good to say that again.

I've had so many people wish me a merry Christmas... especially in retail and at restaurants, that's odd as it didn't ever used to be that way.

    Pleasant surprise.

"I believe that it was no less an authority than Thomas Sowell who warned us that community organizers never organize communities. Lots of people do: explorers, settlers, pioneers, real estate developers, religious organizations, even surfers. Instead, what community organizers are all about is disorganizing communities by organizing their grievances.'

yet, that is what Trump is too, he just community organizes the alt right instead right?

"In today's America, I would add, it's okay to wish each other a merry Christmas again."

oh and merry Christmas to you as well.. it's always been ok, nothing wrong with wishing people a secular federal holiday, never has been (well accept when early Christians outlawed it as it used to be a adult druken holiday before corps reinvented it)

They do in Kuwait. Some countries are more tolerant than the USA, but we're going to be great again soon.

No, he actually builds things like hotels and golf courses. In fact the left is apoplectic that he has a hotel in Washington DC and people like to stay there.

America, our leaders owe the world an apology for breaking international law that our ancestors helped to write after another aggressor, Germany invaded sovereign nations. We invaded sovereign nations killed their leader and left chaos in place of a stable nation.

You or the author can act like it didn't happen, but some of us remember. Our backing of the radical islamists as we try to take down assad with proxies is something we should stop and apologize for doing, promising the world we will never do it again so no one has to fear our aggression.
Merry Christmas, peace on earth goodwill to man.

Christians too, worshipping their pagan idolatree at the winter solstice.

If you've been to midnight mass you're a legit Christian otherwise toss off.

I agree with a previous poster - this year I have been wished a Merry Christmas more often than years in years past. But there's something else........... in the past (oh, let's say the last 8 years or so) people who did wish me a Merry Christmas seemed reserved, unsure, timid about saying it. This year you can tell people are happy and proud to say, "Merry Christmas".

(how long before CNN reports our enthusiasm as another example of Trump extreme hate?)

And to all of you, Merry Christmas. I wish you health, happiness and prosperity. (I can't do much about your health and happiness. But, I did vote Trump so I've done my part to help your prosperity)

    Merry Christmas to all.

    Jesus was a Capricorn,
    He ate organic food.
He believed in Love & Peace,
    And never wore no shoes.

    Long hair, beard, & sandals,
And a funky bunch of friends.
Reckon they'd just nail Him up.
    If He came back again.

What has that got to do with Christmas?

Were you labeled "does not play well with others" at some point?

i'm an atheist, always have been, and i celebrate xmas without the faintest hint of hypocrisy. for me and many others it isn't about a god myth, but the opportunity to give a little something extra without the rest of the world thinking that you're insane. i was reading an article in which the pope was once again decrying the materialism surrounding xmas and i realized he just doesn't get it. we get joy out of giving people the things they desire and there is little enough joy in the world. another disturbing article i was reading lately was describing the trend of disappointed democrats gifting inappropriate gifts to their friends and relatives that supported trump. here is another group of people that just don't get it. all year long we give as we see fit, to charities and organizations that we want to see succeed. this is an occasion to give based solely on what others desire. i kind of feel sorry for folks who can't just let it all go and simply enjoy the light in another person's eyes as they open that gift that makes them happy. it doesn't have to be much, often it is the smallest things that bring that childlike glint to the recipient's eye and an immeasurable, if brief, joy to the giver.

Seven years of parochial school, so yes, yes I have been to midnight mass. All I have left is anointing of the dead sacrament and I get my golden ticket and 20% off on all brightly glowing halo's!
