I think it's a little strange to enjoy angry members however if you add up the cost to us taxpayers you might be suprised at the cost. With Obama it has to be quite high as he's always taking time off and when you say "Only", Obama's high cost vehicles and Air Force One are not cheap. I haven't researched but bet your bippy the Presidential car and operating the jet are not small potatos.

Really? Private mercenaries are there to fight the fight. I was recently offered a few jobs paying $500 a day to be a mercenary... One of the jobs was convoy security... The other was a sniper...

I only enjoy angry members when they immediately prove themselves wrong.

I didn't say how much, only that transportation and security are covered. I'm sure it's expensive, every time the President moves it is considered a military operation.

But to act like we're paying for his vacation, i.e. his rental home or golf or whatever, is completely untrue.

Furthermore, all Presidents have vacationed in such a manner. Bush spent absurd amounts of time vacationing in Crawford. Instead of using facilities in DC that were already paid for, new facilities for security, communication, and staff had to be built in Crawford to accommodate all the time he spent there.

However, I'm not criticizing him for it. As President, he was entitled to operate from wherever he feels most comfortable. Most importantly, it is hardly a drop in the bucket when looking at the deficit.

LOL. The taxpayers paid $4million. Stop trying to make that point unimportant.

Yes, really. Mercs are not there to fight anything. They are there to protect embassy personnel. They don't have authority or guidance to conduct operations.

What past experience led to such a job offer being extended to you, and did you accept?

Im glad you think its okay. Is it okay that 52% of America is below the poverty line? Is it okay that millions of children didnt get a gift this Christmas?

All I claimed was that taxpayers only foot Presidential security and transportation when traveling/vacationing. You told me to shut up and read your source, which immediately said the exact same thing I did.

Stop trying to act like you weren't wrong.

Absolutely not, and anyone interested in reversing that trend would be supporting the President's policies earnestly instead of blocking them.

$6,500,000,000 lost since Obama took office.

Thats not counting the $16,000,000,000 that was found this summer when auditing the FED.

If you're suggesting that PMC's are going to be executing black operations in Iraq, you'll need evidence for that. I would be surprised if the government would hire them for that when they've been shown to be incompetent in many cases. A more reliable option would be the Special Operations Forces from SOCOM and the Special Activities Division from the CIA that I'm sure are still in Iraq.

So it is my business that someone is offering you lavish PMC jobs, but none of my business that you, say, spent a few years in the Army? That's odd.

And what would you be doing in office to create jobs and pay down the deficit? Continue to slash taxes for the wealthy and reduce spending, two things that damage the economy more than any other government action?

I never said SOCOM wasn't still there, or the CIA. They have always been there, they will never leave. They arent a part of the regular military.

Oh, if all you wanted was Military experience, then 4.5 years in the Marines, still serving as a reservist...

I would start Firing people. Shrink the Government. Disband Departments. End wars. Stop the wasteful spending, like $4,000,000 17 day long vacations for 1 example.

After all that, then i would access the Taxes.

See, you Neo-Cons, love to only talk about the Revenue. You never talk about the spending.

Shrinking the government is dangerous, especially in times like these. The economy would suffer greatly from such a move.

What specifically would you cut, and how much? Give some rough figures. Because I've done the math before and spending alone won't do it. In the end you hurt the economy and haven't even balanced the budget.

It's the least I can do.

Governments too big. Read the constitution. There were supposed to be 3 branches. Now we have all these departments that undermine the checks and balances system. We have known lobbyists getting positions at the tops of these departments, and therefore, we have a Corporate takeover.

Cut: EPA, DOE, DOC, DOI, Federal Reserve, CIA
    End Foreign aide.
End wars and occupation of foreign countries. IE: Really bring ALL the troops home. 900 bases in 123 countries. You do the math on the savings there...
$1,000,000,000,000 of the DEFICIT cut in the first Year.
Less revenue needed, therefore, more money to pay down the existing debt.
Current Deficit: Numbers posted in this post will be wrong. Heres the current numbers.
    $1,303,000,000,000
    Revenue:
$2,300,000,000,000 see the problem isnt revenue, its:
    Spending:
    $3,600,000,000,000
If you cut $1,000,000,000,000 the deficit will be 300,000,000,000. Thats more manageable. Its simple math

If i have to get into detail as to why i would end these departments, its gonna be a long night. I suggest you look at Ron Paul's plan, as it is what i would model my plan after. www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/economy/

You are suddenly getting a conscience?

I do believe that you are getting over dramatic again. sure, the times are hard, but there has been plenty of toy drives and Church charities, as well as private "adopt a family for Christmas" efforts that I am certain every kid had a chance to have a toy for Christmas, maybe not the play stations they wanted. . . But a toy.

And why would you blame the President for kids without toys, when you refuse to blame people who are 100 times more wealthy than the President?

I had no idea that you are so determined to provide toys for children, since you seem to think that providing food for them through food stamps, free education through public school, and easy access to health care, especially preventive health care is unacceptable and is not the role of the governement. . .
Mayb you think that it is not the role of every sector of governement. . .just the EXECUTIVE branch?

Sorry, but based on the typical conservative attitude, I find your statement not only overly dramatic, theatical, even, but also hypocritical!

Sorry, ive only seen the decline of our society since the handouts started. The fact that 52% of America is BELOW the poverty line, goes to show you that the middle class is almost non-existant... It looks like the communists have won. You're either rich, or poor, just like communist Russia...

I think we need something radically different to get us out of this recession. I dont think Obama has done anything different than Bush... Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...
