A “path to citizenship” should be granted to “all” illegal aliens in the United States, according to Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer

I mean we already knew this but the left always dodged questions about it. I thick Chuck is a great guy for speaking the truth. What say you?

Depends some on what he means by "path to citizenship." That doesn't sound automatic, it sounds like certain conditions must be met. His argument seemed to be we need more labor and they provide it while our birthrate cannot.

Let's be real though. This is really about republicans wanting to keep America white. If it was a path to citizenship offered to refugees from Ukraine, would it trigger them the same? I'm not calling anybody a racist by that either. There's not necessarily anything wrong with not wanting a diverse society. I don't want to speak Spanish, but I don't look down on them for being different either.

And what does being a citizen mean that is concerning? It's not a free pass to murder or rape. Citizens who murder or rape go to prison too. I guess you're concerned about more non-whites voting?

 

He says we need more people, but he's also for abortion up the instant of birth. It's confusing.

 

If you read Breitbart's article he was talking about "Dreamers," children who were brought into this country as young children, not "EVERY SINGLE ILLEGAL (not just the good ones, but rapists, thugs, pimps, murderers, pedifiles, EVERYONE)"

Shumer quote from that article: "Consequently, he argued, “the only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants — the DREAMers,” referencing illegal immigrants brought to America by their parents, “and all of them.”

 

If you read further, he also says...

"Because our ultimate goal is to help the DREAMers but [also] get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many undocumented there are here.”


Clearly he IS referring to "every single" illegal.

 

Sounds similar to what Reagan did

 

If that is the case, then why not simply increase the number of LEGAL immigrants allowed so that we have control over the process?

It is disingenuous to pretend like labor needs over the birth rate need to be filled by ILLEGAL immigation.

 

I grew up in Los Angeles and it was bad 40+ years ago. My high school was so dangerous, the school paper had an obituary section!

So, this post is instructive. Really. And in the claim, the reality of democratic thinking is being exposed. Democrats believe in the replacement theory. See the above post. No one, even Schumer, expressed any animosity towards white folks. But here we have the real evidence. It's simply a misguided naked power grab. Democrats think that if they buy something for someone, they own them.

I'm just saying I'm not calling people racist by it. Not wanting a diverse society is not the same as being racist. I just want them to be honest about it first. You really think it would trigger the same response? I don't. Maybe the Canadians don't want to come here, lol, but I regularly encounter people born in Canada. Presumably they legally immigrated, I suppose.

 

Replacement theory, as I understand, is early on about poor white people losing their jobs to poor brown illegal immigrants. This is about making up for a labor shortfall. Not the same.

I don't think it's a power grab either, but it's no secret that republicans would be expected to lose ground and democrats would gain with more immigrants becoming citizens. I mean, what do you expect when republicans tell them to go back to where they came from. But the question isn't really who benefits politically, but whether countries have a right to resist diversity, or if people have a right to immigrate at will, and who decides.

Most democrats support illegal immigrants because they like diversity and believe people have a right to come to America and make a better life and we'll all be better for it. Maybe a few see it as simply getting more votes, but not most.

 

I would say 11 million votes is a pretty big deal. Please stop making this about race. The thread is about illegals (and they can be ANY color).

 

If you want to actually get real instead of accusing the Republican party of racism just tell the truth and say it's because Democrats know that illegals will vote for them by and large and that's the only reason they give a damn.

And don't sit there and pretend like you're not accusing anyone of racism because your last straw man sentence removes any doubt of that

Again, why does this matter? If Canadians started doing this and cost us the same tax burden I'm sure the complaints would be the same.

I'm not, but your confusion is understandable. It is not actually racist to say that one would rather live in a more homogenous society and implement policy to that effect (so long as people's rights are respected) but making the claim would certainly prompt many to accuse you of racism. But they would be wrong.

I'm quite sure you're wrong about why democrats want to be nice to illegal immigrants, but it would be interesting to find data. A regular democrat would just say they have the right to live where they want and we're a nation of immigrants.
