I suspect Christian organizations lie about being suppressed in order to get free advertising, get more membership and donations, and just to be hateful to non-Christians like they are to Muslims.

Another Religious Right Tale Of Anti-Christian Victimization Gets Thoroughly Debunked

We have seen it happen time and again: some right-wing group issues a one-sided press release about a student supposedly being unfairly discriminated against in school simply for exercising their Christian faith and the entire Religious Right movement immediately flies into an outrage, spreading the story far and wide as undisputed truth.

The most recent example is the story of six-year old Brynn Williams, who was supposedly told that she was not allowed to deliver a presentation on her family's Christmas tradition because she brought the star that her family places atop its Christmas tree, which represents the Star of Bethlehem.

The story was quickly picked up by just about every Religious Right news outlet and reported as truth, but now the school involved, which "withheld comment until district officials could finish an investigation into the matter," has released a statement from the teacher and school officials which completely debunks the Religious Right's version of the story.

The school's principal, Ami Paradise, likewise released a statement declaring that the claims of anti-Christian bigotry made by Advocates of Faith and Freedom were entirely bogus:

We literally cannot even count the number of times we have seen this exact scenario play out over the years as Religious Right groups gin up an entirely fake controversy in order to play the victim, which then spreads far and wide before officials have even had an opportunity to comment. And we will undoubtedly continue to see it happen again and again so long as people like Starnes and others in the Religious Right grievance machine feel justified in pushing blatantly false stories because doing so helps them advance their agenda.

    Details of story here......

I would suggest to you this kind of action is not restricted the Christian Right, or any other faction in idealogical politics. What you highlight is the one of the reasons, outside the weather, I dont bother with most of the news out there I just don't trust the reporting to be either accurate, or without agenda

Suppression to "christians" is not being to force their religion down everyone's throat.

As the young people of the U.S. move toward factual enlightenment the number of agnostics and atheists grows, choosing to believe evidence rather than myth and religious dogma. The only method left to church leaders is to make their flocks believe Christianity is under attack.

This is the motivation for the religious rights’ the claims of the “war on Christianity”, the “war on Christmas” and the Christian church’s attempts to force government legislation to impose its agenda on all U.S. citizens.

Fortunately, the First Amendment of our Constitution forbids government passing laws that rob individuals of the right to freedom of religion and freedom from religion.

I agree, but the difference here is this is the Holier than thou crowd of god, standard bearer of morals and righteous justice, who live by their infallible book written with the hand of god, etc. Not the drunk passing slurs to the prostitute on the corner. These people are supposed to be above this kind of filth ridden behavior and are using the highest symbolism in the World to perpetuate these lies designed to hurt other human beings. It is outrageous to say the least, and I am shocked to see these representatives and leaders of the faith step this low into sin and damnation. Why not just fk a virgin on the altar ever Sunday morning as a sacrifice!!

Well lets look at the origins of the story Advocates of Faith and Freedom basically an advocate group run by two lawyers. You can visit their website and make donations to the cause. So what happens if there is no cause to advocate? You start making them up to help pay the bills. If there is no controversy, no donations, no way to pay the bills other than honest work.

For the average hardcore Christian, it is a case of confirmation bias, their fear is translated by stories like this. Despite what the Geiko add might suggest, this really is the oldest trick in the book. Not everyone claiming association with the Christian right have Christians best interests in mind
