How am I going to loose my insurance if I am insured through my employer?

    Higher monthly cost.
    Insane premium.
    Same benefits.

There is no such thing as a Blue dog Democrat anymore.

Maybe back when Reagan was President, but not today.

    I didn't say republicans. I said conservatives.

    - - - Updated - - -

Apparently you weren't paying attention when the blue dog democrats rejected Obama's single payer proposal and forced a compromise of which Obamacare was born?

And those weren't Republicans nor were they conservatives.

Please show me their conservative ratings.

When you're talking about "benefits", what is "better" and what is not isn't cut and dry. It's an opinion. The OP said his benefits hadn't changed, only that they cost more for the same. Plenty of people pre-ACA did not have caps or lifetime maximums (my family included), so removing those is no "benefit" to those people. If you don't have kids or your kids are already over age 26 or employed with their own insurance, allowing kids to stay on your insurance up to 26 is no "benefit" either. Face it, there are many people who are NOT rich but who already had good insurance who have not received any benefits from the ACA, and in fact it has cost them plenty. Most of the people I know are in this category. To "help" a small amount of people, they hurt quite a lot of others.

    *shrugs

They told my employer that they were raising the rates because they are forced to cover people they wouldn't usually cover.

It would certainly be nice if mine were the same.

You were trying to get by with bull(*)(*)(*)(*) Bill, because there are many democrats who are somewhat conservative, so your little juvenile game failed

I really don't care enough about your personal definition of the word conservative. Just because the right wing extremists took over the republican party does not mean they took over the word conservative.

Conservative used to mean one thing and one thing only. If you felt the need to limit government expenses and find alternatives to just having the government throw money at it you were a conservative.

Now you're not a conservative to some people if you think government should be doing something about global warming. Or if you think gays should be allowed to marry.

Conservative to me still means you want to limit government expenses. And that's exactly what the blue dog democrats wanted to do when they rejected Obama's healthcare plan and forced him to compromise.

You're talking to a person here. Not a comic book villain. Chill out.

Most expensive and least effective in the world? Do you really believe that?

The government meddling in health care is the problem, it was the problem before obamacare and it is the problem today.

No, I'm talking to a person trying to deceive. Just admit it, republicans had absolutely nothing to do with Obamacare, and mess is all the result of democrats and their ineptness

He's complaining about realizing higher premiums/deductibles and you're saying he shouldn't complain ... because he's now getting the benefit of no longer facing the possibility of higher premiums or deductibles?

Untie the strings and your insurance will become "loose".

Spot on. No getting around it. This massive failure is entirely on Democrats. Lock, stock, and barrel.

republicans are in charge of Congress, write us a better health care law if you want to

prices were rising 15% a year under Bush, that was unsustainable

we should of had a public option like Obama wanted, exchanges and the individual mandate are not working

private insurers can not be trusted to keep rates low without competition of a public option

Republicans are waiting for the Supreme Court decision, and the American capitalist way would be open the markets, which is not happening, why not?

Liberal democrats own this albatross, and it will come back to bite them

Republicans had nothing to do with Obamacare. Other than inventing it in the 90s, piloting it in the 00s under Mitt Romney and continuing to suggest it as an alternative to single payer healthcare right up until the point Obama offered it as a compromise to Blue dog democrats.

The stats don't lie. Our country does the absolute bare minimum government meddling compared to other countries that just run the whole thing. Those countries spend less on healthcare and get better results. We fall behind them in both cost and mortality.

    the republican way

"Wal-Mart Memo Suggests Ways to Cut Employee Benefit Costs " 2005

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/26/business/26walmart.ready.html?pagewanted=all

"Wal-Mart executives said the memo was part of an effort to rein in benefit costs, which to Wall Street's dismay have soared by 15 percent a year on average since 2002. Like much of corporate America, Wal-Mart has been squeezed by soaring health costs. The proposed plan, if approved, would save the company more than $1 billion a year by 2011."

"Ms. Chambers acknowledged that 46 percent of the children of Wal-Mart's 1.33 million United States employees were uninsured or on Medicaid."

an interesting Article, Walmart claims Healthcare raising by 15% a year back in 2005 under complete republican control...

So now the USA isn't the least effective in the world, its just in mortality. Quite a change from a few minutes ago, makes me question your entire claim (which is false anyway).

Kind of hilarious when you consider they pushed an anti-Islam video as reason for Benghazi.

There was NO compromise with conservatives. Not a single one voted for it. There might have been a compromise with Democrat moderates, but that's on you and your party.
