Nobody's voting to go back to Obama/Biden's economic stagnant malaise.

Bernie would be destroyed by Trump. America has no appetite for socialism. Mayor Pete would at least give him a run. But he would lose as well.

Well, seeing as he is the only candidate that we know will be eligible to run for the office at this point, he's right.

Who are you going to believe? The leftist media polls, or your own lying eyes?

History shows that 90% of Republicans and Democrats both, vote for their party's candidates regardless of whom that candidate is. Now turnout of their base can either enhance that influence or lessen it as in both 2016 and 2000 the Democratic turnout percentage of their base was less than GOP's turnout percentage.

So forget the the party's base, look toward the independents. They usually decide national elections. The Republican Party is still the smaller party of the two major parties and has been since 1932. They must win the independent vote or lose the election. Independents put Trump into the white house by going for him over Hillary Clinton. Right now independents are leaning heavily toward the Democrats as they did in 2018. But this is dynamic and can change easily. I think how independents go depends on whom the Democrats nominate. They don't like Trump much. So with independents it will boil down to how they view the Democratic candidate. In 2016 independents disliked Hillary much more than Trump. 2020 is still up in the air. I would say if the election were held today with the Democrats nominating a candidate attractive to independents, the Democrats would win by 10-15 points. But the Democrats could always nominate another Hillary Clinton, a candidate as disliked by America as a whole as Trump was and disliked more by independents than Trump. The ball is in the Democrat's court.

Personally, I don't think Biden will be the Democratic nominee. An old tired white male, a moderate to boot goes against the more progressive grain of the democrats who'll be voting in the primaries. As for 2016 I think the pundits, forecasters, prognosticators let their heart over ride the numbers. Here is RCP's electoral college map based solely on the polls with no wishful thinking or letting one's heart over ride the numbers. The final count was Clinton 203, Trump 164 with 171 in the tossup column.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_elections_electoral_college_map.html

That's far from a lock. I don't think many know how to read the polls. The only state that was wrong was Wisconsin which was in the lean Clinton Column with lean meaning the race is competitive, but one party or the other has the advantage.

Wisconsin is kind of screwed. In the last few years, we have gotten an absolute torrent of leftist Illini fleeing their ruined state and bringing their crap voting patterns with them. It was these geniuses who got Walker voted out of office. The new governor is already blowing up the budget. I wish the rest of the country would just leave our state alone.... I've had it with the smear jobs, negative attention and billionaire leftist out of state money in our state elections.

The same thing is happening here in Georgia. All those northerners fleeing the problems they made and caused in the Northeast are deserting that area bring the same politics that cause them to flee down here to re-institute them here. After they ruin Georgia, where to? Overseas?

Well you can talk, but none of us listen to you because you don't vote.

Its like when foreigners chime in on our elections: No one cares what you think, you cannot effect the outcome.
