    Remember this?

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41850798

The DNC with member(s) of CNN rigged the 2016 primaries against Bernie Sanders and for Hillary Clinton. They refused to give him a fair shot at the candidacy because they decided Hillary Clinton was going to be the nominee. They admitted it.

Flash forward to last nights debate:

CNN: “You’re saying that you never told Senator Warren that a woman couldn’t win the election?”

    Bernie: “Correct.”

CNN: “Warren, what did you think when Sanders said a woman couldn’t win the election?”

Reminder: CNN helped rig the primary against Bernie in 2016. #DemDebate

    https://reason.com/2020/01/14/cnn-bernie-sanders-eliabeth-warren-democratic-debate-sexism/

With the help of CNN and other media outlets, is Bernie Sanders once again railroaded by the Democrats? Now it appears Elizabeth Warren is the chosen candidate and leaked either a private conversation or a fake story to destroy Bernie.

Why doesn't Bernie just run under Independent which is his party affiliation? Or rather the closest thing he could find since Marxist isn't an option for him.

Bernie will once again not survive this Presidential run and not because he doesn't have a lot of support, but because the party he decided to run with rigged the election against him and decided to throw him out the door. After of course, they get the money he raised for the DNC. After all, this must be used for other candidates, that the DNC chooses are worthy.

Running as an independent is almost impossible.

There is no infrastructure in place and you would need to be extremely rich to pull it off yourself.

The major parties have all the basic stuff required already.

It is much better to try and change a party from within then trying to create your own.

Especially on the left. A right wing tea party guy will get some corporate support, just not from the defense industry. However I do think the internet is holding the main street media feet to the fire as far as accuracy goes. This Sanders/Warren exchange being held up to light is one example of it. The MSM is complicit with the government and no longer is a valid representive of the 4th estate.

She didn't even put in a "allegedly said this to you". Or a "you claim he said this to you". She took it as fact.

The number one person democrats do not want getting the nomination is Bernie. He would have no chance against Trump, hell he would have no chance if we dumped Trump and ran a sponge instead. Even democrats are smart enough to see how Bernie if he could get just 10% of his looney ideas put in place would crash our economy, wars would break out all over the world as despots would KNOW that we would do nothing. Old scores would be settled and chaos would erupt. People love their pets, they don't want to have to eat them. (just ask a few million or so people from socialist countries)

If is was Bernie vs Trump 30% or more democrats would vote Trump just to save themselves and their families from eventual famine. He is a goofy, looney, old man. His entire existence has been riding the shirt tails of others. He is the biggest mooch that ever lived. He is funny to watch but even democrats are smart enough to see how dangerous he would be as POTUS.

I say keep trying to crush him DNC, the Bernie Bros will notice it, maybe he can win the nomination and then Trump wins 49 states with only the brain dead of Vermont voting for him.

So that is it? One question is 'rigging' the Primaries? I thought whining about debate scheduling & superdelegates who were never required to vote was pathetic, but this is the new winner. At least it isn't an actual Sanders supporter doing it this time, but a GOP supporter conducting the endless jihad against the Dems.

We all know that if Sanders gets the nomination folks like the OP will be declaring him the new antichrist & foaming at the mouth the same way they do with every other Dem.

Do any of you doubt that if Bernie somehow wins the nomination a real Democrat or Bloomberg will run as an independent? That could give us a President with the lowest popular vote percentage ever.

The reason the DNC is so against bernie's strong run is because bernie is NOT a registered -D. That's really embarrassing.

... And, yes, the DNC will rig the primaries against bernie. As in the DNC's court pleadings after the rigged 2016 primaries, the DNC is not obligated to run honest elections even tho it's in their charter, and they won't. :juggle: :roflol:.

So, that begs the question: why do the left bother to vote in primaries?

Please. first the dems and the republicans are both cut from the same cloth and chosen by the corporate owned media and are beholden to the same big interests. The don't even pass a law allowing medicare to send medicine out to bid! Who in the world does not think that is the right thing to do? Walk down the street and ask people if they want the US soldiers and sailors in the Mideast at the cost of 200 billion a year?

The only "true" to the cause politicians are Tea party republicans, Libertairians and progressives. I think you confuse the mainstream media as Cnn and Msnbc, and don't add Fox and Premier Radio, clear channel etc. It is funny to hear rush rail against the mainstream media when clear channel in on 500 stations!

If you don't think Mainstream media is in bed with the powerful in both parties, I don't know what else to say.

... but he's running as an independent for the senate in Vermin. :roflol: He's a DINO, and once again, the DNC proves their charter is a joke.

I have to wonder whether the DNC apparatchik wear clown makeup when they meet in the smoke filled rooms to screw over their constituents.

Running as an independent isn't easy. Republicans and Democrats have automatic ballot access. Independents do not. They have to jump through hoops, obtain signatures, the amount varies by states. Have a limited time period to obtain those signature, again which varies by state, the signatures must be verified, usually each has to be from a registered voter. It is Republicans and Democrats which verify the signatures. On average more than half of all signatures get thrown out. This is just the beginning. There's an organization to set up, the two major parties already have their organizations in place. There're fifty different laws and rules on how to get on the ballot as each state is a bit different to their requirements.

There is also financial aspects. Corporations, Wall Street Firms, lobbyist, special interests, mega money donors all contribute to the two major parties and their candidates in the tens of millions of dollars. Rarely do any give to an independent or third party candidate. There's a lot more involved. Running as an independent is no easy task.

Now the cable news networks are corporate owned and in the business to make money. Nothing better than a controversy to increase viewership. The more viewers the higher or more money they can charge for their commercials. Whether or not CNN is in the tank for Warren is debatable. Personally, CNN is in the tank to do whatever they can to generate viewership and increase profits. At Sanders expense, so be it.

He is not running as an independent from Vermont. He is serving as an independent. And what is the issue with that? Are you saying Trump was a republican for the last 20 years? As far as the DNC being incompetent, I agree with you fully.

No independent candidates from the Democrat side... Mainly becasue Trump would end up winning the popular vote.

And I doubt that it could happen even if Bloomberg did keep his promise and fully fund Bernie.

The DNC-E and GOP-E still control the DNC purse strings. Many of the hedge fund cartel would simply not ante up and save their money for 2024.

But Bloomberg could prevent a civil war from breaking out inside the Democrat Party.

A "real" democrat will be much less likely to. You are a member of the party, when you go against the nominated candidate you commit political suicide.

~ I think Bloomberg just needs something to do that will boost his ego. Could be a late-life second childhood? Think of the assistance all that $$ could provide to others - instead this is what he does. What a guy ... :hmm:

Bernie lost in 2016. Hillary beat him by nearly 4 million votes. Deal with it.
