Oh, please--this is patently dishonest. We have the technology to deploy electric tractors. I don't happen to think the idea makes sense with the current technology.
    It's a bad idea.

A twist on his Ocasio-Cortez take. That said, I think he's a twit.

You're dismissing a problem we should be addressing. It's not fair, IMO, for us to stand in the way of necessary action just because we'll be dead before sh't hits the fan.

When solar works, if it ever does, and if maintenance costs get down to reasonable, and if costs are lower than the power company, the average suburban neighborhood with average income makers will have it on every residential rooftop -- without government manipulation and subsidies.

The XXXXXXX experts can't tell you it's good (don't listen to them), your neighbors will tell you it's good.

A better mousetrap cannot fail. But it must be better than the power company.

Government can and should play a role here by funding research we need business can't monetize.

Who would have guessed Stalin and Che's lovechild would be a disaster? Its just a shame she can't run for president, I could have used a good laugh. Instead we'll have to contend with Mad Max, Spartacus, Comrade Bernie, Fauxahontas, and the sleazy porn lawyer, and liberals thought Hillary's defeat was bad...

Patrick Moore isn't co-founder of Greenpeace. He lies about that.

Patrick Moore has been a paid shill for polluters for many decades now. He gets paid a salary in return for creating propaganda.

The rubes here, of course, don't get paid to repeat the propaganda. They do that for free, out of Stalinist devotion.

We see this raging AOC Derangement Syndrome because she's helping nail Trump on insurance fraud. Smart as a whip, AOC. The only people who think she's dumb are the paste-eating FOX crowd. No matter. It serves our purpose if they underestimate her.

A few quotes from that smart as a whippersnapper.
“Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs,”
“Ocasio-Cortez: Socialized medicine is cheap because people will no longer have to pay for funerals https://t.co/36rJRWFF0H”
    “upper-middle class doesn’t exist anymore.”
“Medicare for All” proposal, which Ocasio-Cortez has put at the center of her campaign, Ocasio-Cortez responded, “You just pay for it.”
“no debate” that fossil fuel production should be stopped."
"Well, I think a lot of it has to do with changing our strategy around governance. You know there’s a lot of inside baseball and inside the beltway as you, you always hear that term thrown around. But there are very few organizers in Congress. And I do think that organizers operate differently. It’s a different kind of strategy. And what it is, is really about organizing and, and really thinking about that word: organizing. Segmenting people. Being strategic in their actions in really bringing together a cohesive strategy of putting pressure on the chamber instead of only focusing on the pressures inside the chamber."
"we need to invent technology that's never even been invented yet."

Yeah, it takes real intellect to tackle the farting cow crisis head-on, planning on paying people who refuse to work, and downing all airplanes in ten years. That kind of massive destruction of the economy must be applauded! :applause:

I agree with you that she IS as smart as a whip - and by that, I mean she's as smart as a lump of braided leather. :roflol:

There's nothing bold about wishful thinking. Evolution, in all things(including the market place.) Take TIME. And renewable energies have not developed as we'd hoped. That doesn't mean we can speed up their development. Or at least, within known means. More likely, it won't effect her because we have the time to actually get it right.

In the 60's, there wasn't color TV and the internet. Today, you have freaking smart tv's and now there's fiber technology coming out. For all we know, there's going to be some new technology that will make our arguments moot. It's always happened, and it'll happen again because humans are the most cunning species in the entire earth ecosystem.

So for example, what if technology develops to make fuel renewable, or a new chemical that can act as fuel that's renewable? Then the whole game changes. Turning fuel into a renewable source might be easier to accomplish than creating the kind of ecosystem for renewables to energize an entire planet.

Choose whatever analogy fits for you, the point stands: The tomato throwers "We're going to impeach this MF'ER" do not belong in government. You don't combat Trump by putting in his ideological lessors. 2020 is going to be about us, correcting course. These people ran unopposed. I don't want that to happen again, they should be primaried and the public should be able to make a choice.

Those who feel she is not the future of the Democrats can certainly say so but are reluctant to do so.. Instead they seem to follow AOC no matter which wacky path she goes down.

Yes, your opinion matters more if you're a paid up member of Greenpeace. That could be useful line at one of their fundraisers.

Wishful thinking is that oil will last forever. Wishful thinking is that technology developed by the free market will save our behind. Wishful thinking is that our energy wasting ways can go on forever. Wishful thinking is that we can overcome physical barriers if we just think hard enough about it. Wishful thinking is that a yet undiscovered chemical exists that can replace oil. None of that is a plan.

Energy is one of the least understood property. People don't understand that humankind was just lucky that millions of years of decaying matter left a gift for us, which we are recklessely using up in 200 years. If we are not careful, we'll go back to the stoneage after fossils are used up.
