Russia is easy to bankrupt. They are so dependent on the exporting of natural gas and oil to Europe. The US has huge reserves of BOTH natural gas and oil with the realization and development of new technologies. All the US has to do is announce they will develop their production capabilities so Europe would not have to be dependent on Russia energy exports, and actually follow through. Russia would no longer be in a position to threaten anyone much less rebuild the SOVIET Empire. Of course the American LEFTISTS would be against such expansion of US energy capabilities to CHECK Russian expansion. Wonder why ?
Ramping up US LNG exporting, plus the additional exploration, production, refining, and transportation would have deep benefits to the US and every DTh sold to Europe would undermine Putin (and OPEC, too). A huge win-win for the US.
