The former British colony of Hong Kong was given back to China with the understanding of 1 China 2 policies called the Sino-British joint declaration.
Hong Kong was treated differently to Beijing.
Then China went back on that.
Proud to rid themselves of any European colony...
Cuba, along with 52 other nations at the United Nations backed that national security law that was passed on the 30th of June 2020.

But I believe freedom loving people in Hong Kong wish to be British again, and they don't like China ridding itself of the 1 China 2 policies idea, thus bringing Hong Kong inline with Beijing, and denying the freedom from a bygone era rooted in Colonialism. .

You can't deny, that when someone does that, no matter where they are in the world, they identify as British, because they long for the freedoms granted to them as British subjects in a British colony.
    Is that colonial freedom?
Countries like Cuba, and 52 others might not care for colonies, but I doubt they care for freedom either.

Political reform took freedom away from Hong Kong.
I believe political reform can return it, even if there needs to be a campaign.

For freedom, at what cost is freedom the price?
