On Tuesday, the U.S. House unanimously approved the Taylor Force Act (H.R. 1164) which pressures the Palestinian Authority (P.A.) to stop the practice of paying convicted terrorists and their families by eliminating U.S. funding to the P.A. unless it stops these types of payments.

"Since 2003, it has been Palestinian law to reward Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails with a monthly paycheck. Palestinian leadership also pays the families of Palestinian prisoners and suicide bombers. These policies incentivize terrorism," Royce said.

The bill was named in honor of U.S. Army veteran Taylor Force, who was murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2016. Force's parents, Stuart and Robbi, joined lawmakers on the House floor Tuesday to see the bill passed.

"It's a legacy for Taylor, and he deserves all of that," Robbi Force, mother of Taylor, told CBN News.

The 21-year-old terrorist behind the brutal stabbing of Force was killed by police, but he was praised by the Palestinian Authority government and his family received lifelong financial compensation. About two months after the brutal stabbing, the Force family found out their son's murderer was financially rewarded, and there were even videos of his heinous act being celebrated in Palestine.

The kinds of compensation include the following:
    • Pension for life triple the average salary in P.A. areas.
    • Free tuition
    • Free health insurance
    • Free clothing allowance
    • Free monthly stipend
The practice is known as #pay-to-slay.

Despite earlier pressure from Congress to stop these payments, the Palestinian Authority has actually raised the amount paid to terrorists whom they consider martyrs. The payments are on a sliding scale. The more successful the attack, the bigger the payout.

In the 2017 P.A. budget, money to convicted terrorists serving time in Israeli prisons increased by 13 percent and four percent more went to their families – more than 30,000 recipients in all.

This year, direct funding of terrorism has reached $355 million and yet the P.A. is largely funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars.

    https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/politi...ts-pay-to-slay-efforts-using-your-tax-dollars

Good news, I say. $350mln is a good chunk of money that can be put to good use domestically, say to build a good portion of the wall and cut the flow of Illegal Aliens, thus further saving us money. Or, we can send it to Israel, to help them fight Palestinian terrorists!

Seriously, how does it make sense to any of you to send American taxpayers dollars to Ramallah to reward terrorism? I submit, once Palestinian terrorists knows their families won’t get any money, a major incentive for them to go out and stab and ram Israelis with their cars will be removed. Watch terrorist incidents in Israel decrease soon.

Bravo, President Trump. That’s what we've voted you in for, your pragmatism. Next, move our embassy to Jerusalem :applause:

Hard to justify for a family of a backstabbing terrorist getting paid.

Trump threatens U.S. aid to Palestinian Authority
Jan 2, 2018 | WASHINGTON (AP) — Acknowledging his push to broker peace in the Middle East has stalled, President Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to threaten to cut off U.S. aid money to the Palestinian Authority, saying they were no longer willing to negotiate.

This is great news, maybe next week congress will pass a law requiring Israel to behave themselves as well.

I don’t dislike Palestinians or Israelis, I just want them to both have a state, both be happy and prosperous and both live in peace. For that they must both have pressure from the US not just one side.

Stopping support for the Palestinians if they reward terrorism is one thing, but moving the embassy was an unncessary provocation.

Well, the Embassies are ALWAYS located in the Capitals (with an exception or two). Plus, it's the law.

It took Trump to uphold the law. Ironic, is it not?

Well, thats how it was supposed to be, if both Israel and Palestinians accepted the UN resolution. Palestinians did not.

All funding should be cut, period.

Well... the Palestinians are divorcing United States, so it appears, they do not want our money. So be it.

He could have kept the embassy in Tel Aviv. There was no need to stir up sh*t. Past Presidents issued a waiver, so they upheld the law, too.

"Stir up ****"? These are people who murder others for drawing cartoons. There has been WAY, WAY too much walking on eggshells/placating the followers of the death cult "islam" for too long already. We don't need any more of that. In fact, we've had as much of that as we can possibly stomach, and Trump is the embodiment of that finality.

An asinine comment. Most Palestinians aren't murdering anyone. <Mod Edit> You (and Trump) are ceding our moral authority with talk like this.
Another absurd comment. More hate. Islam is not a "cult."
"We?" Just look away and MYOB if you can't take it.

There was nothing important gained by moving the embassy. That's why it was a bad move. All we've done is weaken the hand of Palestinians who want to come to an agreement.

No, it wasn't a bad move.

How long again have we been trying to get them to broker peace?

Time to give them nothing until they want peace.

The world is watching. We should make it about something important--like cutting money to the PA because they support terrorism. Moving the embassy doesn't protect Israel, but it does make it more difficult for those Palestinians who want to negotiate with Israel.

Of course, it was. All we accomplished was making it more difficult for Palestinians who want to try to reach a peace agreement. Well, Trump did grandstand in an effort to sore political points.
    Does it matter?
What on earth makes you think this will help? We're giving up our moral authority with other countries who have consistently applied the Fourth Geneva Convention to the territories Israel acquired in the 1967 war.
