Congress quietly repeals insider trading ban
The article says it was unanimous & took a total of 24 seconds for BOTH Houses to approve it!? Neither Party can agree on pretty much anything, but apparently they can agree that they love there privilege.
This pretty much proves that there is no hope for OUR government. And yes the Tea Party (where was Rand Paul, Ted Cruz & so on...?) went along with it & yes Obama signed it.

Why dont insider trading laws work against them anyways? Why special laws for Congress?

That's corrupt, it was all for show because of the banking crisis.

Both sides of politicians make money off the stock market, and the way lobbyists purchase policies you couldn't have expected that 'principle' to stand for long.

The common man can't get stock tips when trading, only the wealthy capitalists who move money at the top and politicians have this luxury.

Even conservatives aren't on the side of politicians on this one.

Good question. Ask them. They made the law, obviously feeling that it was necessary & then "quietly" repealing it in 24 seconds, without debate. Did they debate it in the smoke filled back room?

I'm open to "Hey, this law was repealed because of its unintended consequences of ______". But I haven't heard any of that.
Is (all) governmental transparency somehow dangerous? I know some in government may want us to believe that.

The "Dog Whisperer" says that man is the only animal that chooses unstable leaders.

He must have been thinking of the folks we send to Washington.

I don't blame them as much as I blame us. As long as they keep us embroiled in ideological arguing they can divide and conquer at their convenience.
