So she's out there trying to spout her lies to get herself into Congress. She was NOT an undercover agent. She worked under her own name at the CIA, lived in a house in her own name, drive in a car registered to her name to the CIA everyday and people in the DC social circles in which she and her husband ran knew she worked at the CIA. It wasn't Scooter Libby who spoke of her employment there and the one witness who said he did withdrew the claim after she reviewed her notes.

Plame and her husband engaged in a plot to try and discredit the Bush administration, she used her role at the CIA to do so and is lucky she is not in jail for having lied to Congress about it. The MSM will now go along once again with her hoax in order to get her elected.

    Congresswoman Valerie Plame?
She rewrites the Scooter Libby scandal history as she runs for the House.

    ...
But Ms. Plame’s campaign has bent the truth of the scandal, starting last fall in a high-octane introduction video. “I was an undercover CIA operative,” she narrated, while hot-rodding a car in the desert. “Then Dick Cheney’s chief of staff took revenge against my husband and leaked my identity. His name? Scooter Libby. Guess who pardoned him last year?” Cut to footage of President Trump, pumping a fist in satisfaction.

This is political pulp fiction. The public record shows that I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby was not responsible for outing Ms. Plame. The journalist who put her CIA connection into print, Bob Novak, later said the information came from Richard Armitage, then Deputy Secretary of State. A Washington Post fact-checker gave Ms. Plame’s video three disapproving Pinocchios......

    *****************
Her campaigned tried to say that it was clear Libby gave her name to Judith Miller then reporter for the NYT. But Miller in her book recanted her previous statement saying in reviewing the material for her book it was not Libby.

    ************
.........John Rizzo’s book (he was the CIA general counsel for years) who disclosed in his book that a national security assessment had concluded that the leak had caused no harm to her, any of her sources, or American national security.”....

....Now Ms. Plame, reborn a politician, has told voters that Mr. Libby “leaked my identity” to exact “revenge.” Maybe she thinks playing the Cheney-Trump card is the way to get elected, but her duplicity ought to be disqualifying.

The natural law of politics is perception is Truth. That simple law explains spin, competing narratives, ‘I did not have sex with that woman’, and so much more. In politics it is a universal law. Any narrative you hear, left, right, always look behind the scenes and ask your self what am I being asked to perceive as the Truth. Anyone entering politics might have idealistic motives at first, but the political world has it’s own culture and to survive you either assimilate or you don’t survive. The best of them (competition wise), are those that are skillful at controlling perceptions for enough voters to get elected.
BTW, in thinking about the culture of politics, how many, after years in office, have financial value many times what they had before being in office and many times what could be explained by the compensation they officially receive for serving in office? But, they work for you...

She has been lying about this since it happened, press know she is lying, he'll everyone knows she is lying. Democrats will still vote for her they simply do not care, she made Bush look bad and they love her for it. This is a non-issue. Her lying is nothing new and noby is going to change votes over this. Unfortunately.

Oh there are many on the left who refuse to acknowledge the actual facts heck they still claim it was Libby or Cheney who "leaked" her name. She should have gone to jail for lying to Congress.

The good news is that she just lost her election bid to a Dem Party rival. The bad news is that she will probably claim to have been living all along in some other district, and then try again.

Looks like less than 25% of the vote. Good because the House Republicans would have a good case to oppose her being seating in the HoR.

People lie to get elected. It's very common, almost guaranteed.

The part I wonder about is the supposed lie. By definition, being "undercover" is secret. Why would anybody confirm or deny whatever role she played if she was, in fact, undercover? I would be like outing that someone has a different identity in the Witness Protection Program.

She was not working at Langley undercover. She was working under her own name living in a house under her name driving a car in her name and swinging in the DC social scene were it was not a secret she worked at the CIA.

After graduating from college and moving to Washington, D.C., Plame worked at a clothing store while awaiting results of her application to the CIA.[6] She was accepted into the 1985–86 CIA officer training class.[9] Although the CIA will not publicly release the specific dates of Plame's employment from 1985 to 2002, due to security concerns,[9][10] Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald affirmed that Plame "was a CIA officer from January 1, 2002, forward" and that "her association with the CIA was classified at that time through July 2003.[11] Details about Plame's professional career are still classified, but it is documented that she worked for the CIA in a non-official cover capacity relating to counter-proliferation.[12][9][13][14][15]

Plame served the CIA at times as a non-official cover (or NOC), operating in Athens and Brussels.[16] While using her own name, "Valerie Plame", her assignments required posing in various professional roles in order to gather intelligence more effectively.[17][18][19] Two of her covers include serving as a junior consular officer in the early 1990s in Athens and then later as an energy analyst for the private company (founded in 1994) "Brewster Jennings & Associates," which the CIA later acknowledged was a front company for certain investigations.[20] A former senior diplomat in Athens remembered Plame in her dual role and also recalled that she served as one of the "control officers" coordinating the visit of President George H. W. Bush to Greece and Turkey in July 1991. The matter of whether she actually had covert status is disputed.[21][22] After the Persian Gulf War in 1991, the CIA sent her first to the London School of Economics and then the College of Europe, in Bruges, for Master's degrees. After earning the second degree, she stayed on in Brussels, where she began her next assignment under cover as an "energy consultant" for Brewster-Jennings.[6] Beginning in 1997, Plame's primary assignment was shifted to the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.[23]

During this time, part of her work concerned the determination of the use of aluminum tubes purchased by Iraq.[24] CIA analysts prior to the Iraq invasion were quoted by the White House as believing that Iraq was trying to acquire nuclear weapons and that these aluminum tubes could be used in a centrifuge for nuclear enrichment.[25][26] David Corn and Michael Isikoff argued that the undercover work being done by Plame and her CIA colleagues in the Directorate of Central Intelligence Nonproliferation Center strongly contradicted such a claim.[24]

I do understand the point that was made. I don't blindly listen to anything and I believe it's unfair to take a position if one is unwilling to consider ALL the information. Nevertheless, thanks for the warning.

Yes she worked at the CIA, Langley, it was not a secret. She worked there under her own name, driving there from a house registered in her name every morning in a car registered in her name. And she is lucky she is not in jail for the lies she told Congress about the plot to try and get Bush removed she and her husband engaged in.
