Yes I do, and the same people supporting the police for kicking out the Starbucks shmucks were the same ones supporting the cops in the McDonald's issue. Nice but that skill will not save Starbucks as it is the customers of Starbucks that will decide if the company will live or died.

For myself I love the neighborhood Cuban coffee shop as the owner somehow find the most beautiful Latin women to employed and as old as I am I still find that the coffee is secondary to the women.

 

You must like that place, because it's not the first time you mentioned it. However what will decide Starbucks fate is its management, which looks pretty dismal.

 

I go to them occasionally as an outside office when I travel as I do Barnes & Noble, when I need to get the laptop out and online to get something to a customer. But guess what I BUY A CUP OF COFFEE. Maybe a snack. And when I put it on my expense account to my accounting department I list it as "renting office space". I don't go in and just take up their space using their wi-fi and using their restroom which they have to pay someone to keep clean without spending some money the moment I get there. And when I travel and eat alone I tip heavy, of course if the service is up to par, because I'm taking up one of the waitresses tables as a single.

Starbucks is my last choice of places to go BECAUSE I disagree with some of their stated political leanings to the point as a conservative I just don't feel welcome to go in they think so badly of me. But I defend their right to conduct their business as they see fit and certainly have the right to demand anyone sitting at a table or using the restroom to purchase a product. Too bad they did not stand up for the employee, I would not want to work there if this is how they treat employees.

 

Years ago when I regularly traveled to Miami for business it was a MUST to go with my Cuban distributors to their favorite local restaurants and coffee shops. And I mean the LOCAL. LOVED the food, the coffee, the atmosphere, the music and especially the people.

Same with Puerto Rico, my main guy owned a nice bar in Pounce so when I was down there we'd go there at night and I was just like family and the food and the people were just wonderful. Too bad the corrupt governments have them in such a mess.
