Cops shut down white woman who called 911 on black real estate investor

Happens. I'm white and have police check on me or border patrol come up to me. It really helps to have high visibility gear on with a company name. If people see you in that they assume your are working. A dinky sign in the front yard is insufficient and no one can see the paperwork or id stuffed in your pocket. An id and name should be on your shirt or coat and vehicle if possible. If he doesnt own or work for a business and is just doing this as a personal endeavor then I don't blame him but there is a lot of crazy suspecious people out there. Some will pull guns on you or sick their dogs on you so be super careful.

 

She said go ahead and do your thing several times. In fact she said that before the cops came and there was never a time in the video where she said otherwise or threatened him or even told him he couldn't be there. The guy said she said these things bit they were never caught on tape unfortionately.

 

Right................that's why the cops threatened to arrest her.

A house that's not yours in a neighborhood that does not belong to you, she had the gall to tell him to hurry up (5:45) and tell the police they weren't doing their jobs after the police verified he could be there? Not one righty could tell us what their job was supposed to be after verifying he could be there.

 

If somebody pulls wood off a boarded up house you naturally might question that.

But this guy is calm, cool, collected and I expect he will be very successful. His attitude was great, doing whatever it takes to complete his business and make his money. Perfect. Make the money.

 

On the good side This proves it once and for all that the police are not out to shoot black men or that guy would be dead.

 

What about what she said to the cops and this young man after they verified he could be there?

 

That doesn’t fit the narrative. I think they should loot riot protest anyway!

 

Apparently she didn't say enough to get herself arrested.

What is important to me is that the young man intelligently completed a necessary step to get his money, that is, to get the needed photos inside the house. He will get his green, and that's soooooooooooooo good.

 

Meanwhile in the white hometown I grew up Waukesha, 300 blacks visit the Skyzone. There is a riot and kids end up in the hospital. The parents BLAME Skyzone for not having enough security. Looks like a lawsuit may be on the way. What goes unsaid is that they had plenty of security for the white clientele they usually have but that is clearly insufficient and negligent when black clientele is involved. If you don't think news stories like this (and they happen damn near weekly) don't have an impact on white's perceptions of blacks, you are delusional.

Normally here there is a secured metal box that contains the key to the house (there's such a box on every house on the market), and bona fide licensed agents all have a key to the metal box, get the house key inside the box, turn it in the lockset, and enter, and secure the house key in the box when they leave.
The exception to this is the exclusive listing given to only one agency, which simply has the key.

They're not removing plywood with a prybar. A prybar doesn't of necessity mean that something is going wrong, but something could be going wrong.

Some real estate investors normally move fast paying with cash, have closing lawyers on retainer, and have the deal done before a listing agency could be out with a locking keybox. A real estate investor doesn't want to be paying commissions.

 

My neighbors look after mine and I look after theirs and what is going on around our neighborhood. That's what neighbors are for.

So what was their job after verifying he could be there? After all, this lady said they weren't doing their jobs and that she knew people in the sheriff's department.

have to agree, unless there is more to this story, sounds like something my neighbors would do for me and vice versa

now if she confronted them, then that was wrong, just call the cops, let them handle it, never wise to get involved - if they check, and it's nothing, then it's nothing, end of story

 

yeah, she sounds like the nosey neighbor and is embarrassed she was wrong, but can't admit she was wrong

it's ok to be wrong, you just be polite and say, sorry, I was just looking out for my neighbor, sorry to have bothered you, and you move on

You want to defend this lady even after the cops shut her down.

 

I'm still wondering what "job" the cops weren't doing according to this lady. @Bluesguy won't tell us because he condones what she said to the kid and the police after the police and homeowner verified he could be there.
