I don't think I ever met any person who actually knew King but around 1971 and 72, I did use the accountant who worked for the FBI who had an award on his wall for his work in the arrest of the King killer. He had his office in Castro Valley, CA and was devoted to coaching teen boys basketball. He did give me a few details at the time that I simply don't recall. But I did read his awards on his office wall obtained from the FBI. He told me the FBI values accountants due to a lot of the investigations being about money.
