If the Hotel does not close down during rallies by other ethnic groups wants to stay there, but does so the Proud Boys requests rooms, then that is discriminatory. You are viewing this issue in a narrow light. You are viewing Hotel's actions in light of past policies.

 

The Patriot Act had crazy levels of bipartisan support and gave the government permission to spy on any person for any reason.

Again you are misunderstanding the issue. I guess you are claiming that BLM members never stay at the Hotel, or did not stay there during their rallies. If the Hotel did not shutdown during those rallies, then it is discriminatory to shutdown because the Proud Boys wanted to stay there.

There was definitely an anti Trump movement. I won't deny that. And because we didn't believe he was really a republican, it wasn't anti republican sentiment. We weren't hell bent on terrifying and destroying the right. Sadly, the Republican party politicians in power decided that they would allow their party - a once noble party - to become the party of Trump. They did so out of fear of retribution from him - not because they believed in him or trusted him. And still, I don't see anyone on the left taking actions to terrify or destroy the Republican Party.

Do you understand the difference between a policy to shutdown because the Proud Boys wanted rooms, but not shutting down because of any other group. A question that no one has answered, is whether you would support the Hotel if it shutdown during a BLM rally.

There is a difference in shutting down so employees can celebrate Christmas holiday with their families, and shutting down because a specific group wants to stay at the Hotel. If you think the two are equivalent then there is no help for you.

The Hotel shut down during the timeframe that the Proud Boys wanted to stay there. There is no difference between that and shutting down until a black family leaves.

A court that is 100% secret and has no oversight is being lied to constantly.

The Patriot Act was only going to be used for terrorism. Last I checked, 98% of the arrests coming out of FISA courts were drug related.

You'd have a point if republicans were squeaky clean. They all lie, abuse power, obey their corporate sponsors and, generally, **** over the American people to maintain their power & wealth. The last person who didn't was Ron Paul. We need 538 of him, and zero of what we have currently.

I really don't have a problem with the hotel doing this. There would be a high risk that counter mostly peaceful protesters (BLM/Antifa) would destroy the hotel by vandalism, looting and arson. I think the hotel can decide it won't risk being in the middle of a violent, destructive anarchists fire fight.
