The uninformed 'mainstream left' jumped the gun with Antifa...they romanticized them as wholesome, patriotic "peace activists" (as the leftist hacks at Reuters attempted) who were fighting the good fight against evil nazis and white supremacists (who we're to believe reside behind every blade of grass) and now they're stuck with them.

and in typical leftie fashion, they won't admit to the very serious tactical blunder of aligning themselves with violent communists, anti-capitalists, and anti-free speech moonbats, so they project, deflect, "debunk", and/or ignore (tacitly support), and/or get caught funding (actually support)

they did the same with Occupy, and they've done the same with BLM. Sane America attaches these lawless, destructive and violent leftist groups to the Democrat Party (with good reason...they rarely condemn them in no uncertain terms), and, not coincidentally, Democrats have been losing quite a bit of political sway of late (since 2010)

Your idea of progress is to linger on policies that worked somewhat okay in the post-war era and ignoring the changed world and rising tide of neoliberalism that makes that untenable. The past few decades should teach us that the ruling classes will dissolve whatever protections are thrown up for the benefit of the working class- it's not enough to try to go for a war of attrition because they will win.
We need to undermine the ruling class and the state that works in their favor by creating our own institutions and deeigitmizing theirs.

Nazis are certainly deplorable, but that doesn't absolve AntiFa, or their mouthpiece, from violence or spin. The article is from a far LWer on a far LW news website. It mixes apples and oranges; specifically it only address AntiFa for violent actions but the entire far Right in order to drum up violent numbers for comparison. Not just the ****ing Nazis, any group which is considered RWed. That's not a fair comparison and can easily be seen as deceiving AKA lying.

The violence of both the radical Left and far Right is ratcheting up and I fully expect some terrorist deaths and outright murders akin to the 1979 Greensboro Massacre before mainstream Americans shut both sides down.
