Such a misinformed comment and OP. Virginia's current governor is a Republican. The two previous governor's were Democrats. The two before those two were Republicans and the three before those were Democrats. The current Virginia Senate is half Republican and half Democrat.

The OP is nothing but reinforcement of stale stereotypes.

Fact is that it needed reform, and the GOP refused to even acknowledge the problem for how long before Obama came on the scene?? Do nothing when you have the chance, and then sit back and throw stones at the people trying to make it better. Oh, and you'll excuse me if I don't believe you really give a sheet about the quality of other people's lives. You and yours maybe, but screw everybody else., makes more sense.

The fact is people don't want your type of reform. The majority of folks simply do NOT want Obama Care.

As you may know, a bill that makes major changes to the country's health care system became law in 2010. Based on what you have read or heard about that legislation, do you generally favor or generally oppose it?

    Sept. 27 - 29 2013

    Favor 38%
    Oppose 57%
    No opinion 4%

    Mar 19 - 21 2010

    Favor 39%
    Oppose 59%
    No opinion 2%

That's a very hard lesson the Democrats will learn again in 2014 since losing 69 seats in Congress in 2010 when Obama Care was passed simply wasn't enough to convince them.

Translation: You will never admit ACA is a disaster. To do so would be to go against thre great cult leader Pinocchi-OWE.

When everybody does well everybody does well. Doing nothing is not the answer for sure, but doing what Obama did was definitely NOT the solution. Obama just pushed the nation over the cliff. It was better to do nothing at the moment unless you have a valid solution.

Throwing facts at liberals will have no impact, you know. Facts pass through liberals like photons.

The ACA is a catalyst for greater and more effective reform. It is exactly what America needed (at this point).

No, you mean the wealthy beneficiaries of the high cost of HC doesn't want the ACA. The majority of the populous likes it just fine. It's the rich corporate pigs that don't like it.

    - - - Updated - - -

The GOP didn't even think it was a problem...Obamacare ain't perfect, but it's better than pretending the problem didn't exist, and doing nothing.

We completely disagree on this. As of last night and proven by the President himself, the problem was insuring the uninsured. It is now historical fact that you got there by uninsuring the insured. The President finally had to admit that he lied to MILLIONS of Americans, which he tried to downplay by saying it was only 5%. Next time you guys try to help...please dont. You helped us the same way this guy fixed his wifes complaint of feeling cold.

Vast majority like it? 57% oppose it now and 59% opposed it in 2010. I'm sure the rich corprorat pigs as you call them could care less if they get the money from the insurance company or the customer through High deductibles and outrageous out of pocket costs. The Medical providers get their full money and the Insurance companies benefit from the $12,700 annual out of pocket. Everybody wins but the poor shlub coughing up $12,700 + premiums.

That's like saying if they give a lower leg amputee a wooden peg like Capt Hook instead of a real prosthesis because of the reduced compensation from Obama Care, it's better than nothing right?

No of course not. It certainly wasnt the epic disaster it is now.
Was this womans relationship with her husband peachy before he tried helping? Probably not but Im sure the solution made it worse.

So vote your majority in and change the problem your side ignored for all these years. Oh, that's right. You need a majority first. I'm sure your only concerns are about the "poor shlub", and nobody else. If the system wasn't so screwed to begin with, it wouldn't have needed fixing. Oh..that's right too! Your side didn't think it needed fixing, at all. That's the reason it was ignored. Almost forgot.
Yeah, Obamacare is much better than nothing, which is exactly what the right offered up.

    - - - Updated - - -

It was BETTER before Obamacare? SERIOUSLY? For WHO? The fattest of the fat???

Hardly. The 14 million people that just lost their insurance to insure the 6 people that just signed up. The people who were working full time with benefits but were cut to part time because their companies could not afford the "Affordable Care Act. The people who actually are going to lose their jobs entirely and are now a further burden on the rest of us.
You solution to a splinter was to cut off the entire finger. Next time please dont help. Your idea of cutting off the finger was not better than doing nothing.

Like it or not it's going to happen after the tens of millions of voters getting their health insurance plans canceled by Obama/Democrat Care. There will be blow back BIG TIME. You're fooling yourself if you don't think so.

The system WASN'T so screwed up to begin with, but those Geniuses in the Democrats party made that happen ten fold.

You only think so because you get all your news from left wing kook sources. The right has offered counter plans all along. But feat not, y9ou'll hear all about them in Jan 2015 when there are precious few Democrats left after the Obama Care train wreck.

Since when did Romney supporters ever care about people losing jobs? That's like the debt issue. It wasn't even a concern while your guy did it (but I digress).

Fact is, the HC system was BROKEN, well before Obama got involved, and the right wing saw no problem with it. The pigs are squealing now because, well, they're pigs, and they want it all, and the GOP represents the fattest pigs. The ACA is an attempt to repair the damage done by doing NOTHING about it for all these years, and I applaud the effort, flaws and all.

What makes your response idiotic, when Dubya lost the popular vote in 2000, and the conservative-loaded Supreme Court appointed him President, you right-wingers called it a mandate of the people.

Entirely incorrect. Im far from a Romney supporter. Compared to Obama he should be on Rushmore. As far as the healthcare system. No one I repeat no one argued it wasnt broken, Obamas solution was to set it on fire, drive it over a cliff, then try to put the fire out by beating it with a sac of puppies.
Also, incorrect on the Bush debt. I got banned from the comcast forum for comments against Bush when it was decided we were staying in Iraq after no WMDs were found as at that point there was no reason to occupy and waste our tax dollars.
Im tiring of saying sometimes doing nothing is better. You never do anything unless you have a plan that is deemed plausible. ACA was predicted accurately and precisely to be a failure. Those predictions have all come true PROVING doing nothing in this case was still better. Until we come up with a better idea its best to do nothing.
Splinter in your finger, you advise cutting the finger off rather than doing nothing. Thats your ideology. I advise if thats your plan Dr Liberals, Ill just go ahead and keep the splinter and my finger until someone else figures out a better way to remove the splinter.
