Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania are purple states now. Minnesota is probably not too far behind. If your plans were implemented, these states would go red even faster than they already are.

By all means, sow the wind and thus reap the whirlwind.

 

This is just how dictatorships form. Trouble is, your leaders will be the only ones profiting.

 

States and their governments are moving to Republicans. These who want dictatorships sure are loud about it. (Democrats want a dictator form of Government.)

 

You do know that Senator Joe Manchin has publicly announced he will oppose any efforts to add DC and Puerto Rico as states or expand the size of the Supreme Court.

Anyway President Biden and the Democratic Party has to be very wary of being seen as moving to the left as even if the Republicans pick up HALF as many House seats in 2022 as average they'll still take control of the House. Not to mention if they get a net gain of only one Senator they'll retake he Senate.

The Democrats won't consolidate anything.

 

Actually he said he is open to it. After your sides support for insurrection any chance you had for 2022 is done. Our side is in charge now, "buckle up".

Go back to 1933 and you will find out that Democrats have ran the entire show other times and for long terms. Republicans always come back.

 

We never support insurrections. How many protesters carried weapons? When Antifa and BLM protests they show up armed.
BLM and Antifa carried out insurrections against a good many states.

That didn't work out too well for the Dems did it.

 

Well, with the filibuster it would take 60 votes, and with it plainly being used by Democrats to steal representation in the Senate, the only Republicans that will likely vote for it are Murkowski and Pierre Delecto Romney. That's 9 short as Manchin has already said no.

Now they had said that they would destroy the filibuster in order to destroy any ability by the GOP to shape the national agenda, and again, Manchin said no. Murkowski generally says yes to whatever Democrats want, so who knows? And Manchin often talks a much better conservative game than he actually plays, but, I think it's safe to say that with a majority balanced by a hair (or a Harris) that they don't have the numbers to destroy the Senate and the Judiciary like they wanted to.

 

Nonsense! Trump was an aberration. What I think is needed is for the executive office, the presidency, be stripped either by statute or a constitutional amendment, of the powers which enabled Trump to blithely ignore the constitutional requirements of office with impunity in his actions and to trample on established norms. We cannot afford to allow such unchecked and uncheckable power in one person's hands. Power does indeed corrupt.

Every loyal Democrat says that too. But they have been put on trial in courts of law.

 

We have heard this sabre rattling before. They do it every time they win one office. They forget how many offices they lost this past election.

 

The real power is not actually in the Presidency. If it was, Trump would have been constructing several thousands of miles of walls. He would have rallied Democrats to make Mexico pay for the Wall. Trump would have been dictator. But he was not.
