LINK: Democrats see political peril in replacing Minneapolis PD (msn.com)

Here is a perfect example of how people use words to try and accomplish what they want and to disguise what it is that they are doing. And its readily admitted to.

Whether you are "defunding the police" or "reforming the police" there is only a finite amount of money involved. What once went towards the police is going to be cut in order to accomplish the things that they want to happen. IE: Defund the police. Does "defund the police" mean to completely take all money away and disband the police? No, of course not. As with anything else if you cut somethings money by even a small amount you are defunding that something. Defunding has never meant to take all money away.

I understand what it is that they want to do. They want to provide people that are specialized in taking care of X kind of trouble. Such as trying to calm down a a mentally disturbed person. Its understandable. Even applaudable. And it would no doubt help (if done properly). But, it is also going to be coming at the expense of the police. IF you take any amount of money from the police. Its going to cost them. And in return will affect how well they can do their job. Instead of that then allocate money from somewhere else that is not as needed. Or set up a new way to gather funds to apply towards those things. DO NOT take it from police.

One other thing to note and in line with my first paragraph:

Talk about ignoring reality. It was those on the left that first started using "defund the police" mantra. Particularly BLM supporters. To call it "fear based rhetoric" and a "right-wing dog whistle" is complete BS. And is another way in which they are using words to control people and DIVIDE us. They're taking something that THEY started and because it got a negative reaction they are trying to shift the blame and story of that negative to those that they disagree with. As if they never had a hand in the "defund the police" movement. They're innocent. Its all those damn right-wingers fault!!!. Sad thing is people eat this crap up and believe it, adjusting their own perception to suit.

As I've said before, my ex live in girlfriend of 3 years worked for the democrat party for a long time, quit after Biden was sworn in, and then went back to working for them again. We've been talking quite a bit for the last 3 weeks or so and she said democrats always put a lot of thought into the phrases they use. The example she gave me centered around Muslims and illegals. Muslims are referred to by their religion and not their color, illegals are referred to by their color and not their religion. An honest person can see why democrats do that.

If you notice, democrats have words and phrases for everything. They never even heard of the word fascist before 2016 and then couldn't stop using it for the next four years. They don't want to call specific races victims because those races find that insulting, so they call them disadvantaged, marginalized and underrepresented.

This is what happens when your new moto blows up in your face. You deny you ever said it, then repackage it under a different name.
The funny part is they actually believe they are selling it.

In the end they'll get what they want. There is a long game here, let me fill you all in. Less policing and less enforcement of crimes in black neighborhoods allows black thugs to reign supreme. The black thug criminal enterprise is a growth industry meaning eventually it will have to expand. Where will they go when the ghettos are picked clean, when retailers leave black communities after being able to sustain trade in the midst of unmitigated theft and vandalism? Why, to the surrounding White neighborhoods of course - and this is where the long game comes in.

Because the White neighborhoods wont tolerate the black crime. Civilians, police, city leadership, will all respond in the prescribed manner and that's when proggie race hustling gears up. We can see a great test case going down right now in the Atlanta suburb of Buckhead, a wealthy White community suffering from a massive incursion of crime from the thugs of nearby black areas. They've had enough and they want change; specifically they want to remove their community from the city of Atlanta and form their own primarily to control their own policing, something Atlanta does not allow because of proggie defund efforts and a general leniency on black crime. Well the proggies, oh boy they don't like that at all. But rather than address the problem at hand, black thug crime, they chose to go a different route by race hustling and creating a false narrative that a rich White meany racccissis community doesn't want anything to do with the poor future astronaut sons of Obama black community. Its a hotbed issue with tax implications to boot and its generating a lot of support (by which I mean rage) in the black community who will in turn drive a vote effort to solidify Democrat control in the area even further.

By destroying all sense of civilization within the black community, Democrats create 'plantations' only this time the 'slaves' want to work for their masters.

"Defund the Police" was a boneheaded idea that probably cost the Democrats many House seats and made Biden's win a bit narrower. I remember a poll right when this crap started, showing that 86% of Americans opposed this idea (I don't have the link months later, but I remember the pollster: YouGov).

If anything, I'd like to see the Police better funded. These are the guys who protect my life and property.

I'm actually ok with that as I wouldn't call until after the event is over. They want you to stay on the line and give them a blow by blow instead of paying attention to whats actually happening. I prefer to not be distracted for their 10 minute response time while I figure things out for myself. I would just need help cleaning up the mess.

Somebody has to cart off the bodies and make an official report after the fact. Is that what they mean by replacing cops with social workers?
